Dongga Temple Review

Dongga Temple is on the roadside from Se to Ganzi County, and the county town is about 5 kilometers away. It takes a look at it from a distance. However, the county roads from Se to Ganzi County are well repaired and the scenery is beautiful. After the Naiyou Pass at 4580 altitude, it is very spectacular.

Dongga Temple is located in the remote mountainous area of northwest Sichuan, located on Dongga Mountain in Seda County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It has a history of more than 300 years. It is the largest, most influential and important temple in Yadong. The architecture of the temple is very particular, the gorgeous color matching, the beauty of the color is stopping. There are existing cultural relics in the late Qing Dynasty to dry the Buddha Tangka, mural carving art has unique ornamental research value.

When I went to Seda County at the end of April, I happened to meet the grand festival. The locals wore new clothes and danced, especially the police uncle was enthusiastic.

Dongga Temple is a famous red church temple in Tibetan area, listed as one of the three major temples in Seda. It is located on a mountain shaped like a white conch. The temple has a statue of Sakyamuni sitting on three sides. There are religious murals painted on three sides. The red pillars are carved with dragons and flowers.

Seda, not only the Buddhist college and the Tianfutai, but also Dongga Temple, Dongga, which means white conch in Tibetan, hence its name. Dongga Temple is one of the famous monasteries inherited by Tibetan Buddhism Ningma Baiyu, the first of 13 monasteries in ancient and modern Seda. It is a Gelu temple with the largest scale and impact in Yadong. There are very, very few tourists. On the top of the mountain, you can see the panoramic view of the entire Golden Horse Grassland and Seda County.

Dongga Temple is on the other side of Seda County, which is strange that many people don't know. This is a magnificent and gorgeous temple. Visit for free, and you can take you to the highest Tibetan Jinglou when you meet the master, go out and see the whole scenery. Friends who go to Seda are definitely worth a visit. We are 3 people chartered a car and went directly to Dongga Temple in the Buddhist Academy for 60 yuan. Some masters may say that they have not been there...but they must go once.
