Beer was the star. Solid local selection, tried a couple of craft ones. Snacks were decent, nothing fancy but fine with a pint. Place gets busy later, but whatever. Good spot if you just want a drink without the fuss.

The burger was properly juicy, meat cooked just right. Staff friendly enough, didn't have to wait long for anything. Solid choice if you happen to be nearby and want something quick. Not fancy but does the job.

The chocolate swirl really stood out—proper dark chocolate, not too sweet. They've got a decent tea selection as well, which is nice. Desserts are probably the best I've had in Tábor so far. Place was a bit busy when I dropped by, but worth it for that pastry.

Stopped by for a quick lunch since it’s basically right off the main square in Tábor. The Bernard beer on tap was a nice touch, went well with the food. Place has a chill vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable. I’d say it’s a solid spot if you’re in the area and don’t want to walk far.

The wine list is solid—Hiedler and Brandl are both great picks. Staff actually knows what they’re talking about, which made the whole thing better.

Came back the next night after the first dinner—that says it all. The owner actually remembered us and chatted a bit. Had the grilled trout again, still flaky and juicy. Jazz was a nice touch, not too loud. Place has a good vibe, nothing fancy but honest food.

The chef’s doing something interesting with the menu — stuff I wouldn’t normally pick but ended up liking. Staff were chill, not fake-friendly. Place has that low-key cozy vibe, easy to just sit and hang. Only thing is it’s a bit on the pricier side for what you get, but I’d still come back if I’m in the area.

Third time here and the food stays solid. Had the svíčková this visit, sauce was rich and the dumplings soaked it up just right. House Lichvice beer goes down easy, proper Czech lager. Place was busy but service kept up fine. Only thing, the goulash portion felt a bit small for the price. Still, good honest cooking.

The steak came out perfectly cooked, and honestly the view of the square from my table was the highlight. Took a while to get the food though, maybe 20 minutes? I didn't mind too much since I was just people-watching. Nice spot if you're not in a rush.

The baked raspberry cheesecake was the reason I stopped in, and honestly it didn’t disappoint. Warm, slightly tart, with that crumbly base—really good. Coffee paired nicely with it too. Service was friendly, no complaints there. Place felt a bit busy but fine for a quick sit-down. Would come back for that cheesecake again.

Solid Czech food in Tábor. Had the svíčková, pretty good. They sometimes do a fish burger special that's decent too.

The pizza's consistently solid. Outdoor seating works if the smoke isn't blowing your way. Prices fair for what you get.

Service was solid even though they were busy. Staff kept an eye on us, brought crayons for the kids, that sort of thing. Made it easy to just sit and eat without stress. Nothing fancy, but it worked.

Loved the little garden out back, such a chill spot to hang with friends. Cakes were fresh and pretty, staff super nice. Sweet little break in Tábor 😊

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got the Black Angus burger — solid choice, juicy enough. Place was busy but I still got my food fast. That's what I care about most. No complaints.

The carp soup was the reason I came and it didn't disappoint. Rich, deep flavor, you could tell they used proper local fish. Meat was juicy, not overcooked like you often get. Had a glass of crisp white with it, worked nicely together. Place was busy but service kept things moving. Would come back just for that soup.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Got the carp—never been big on freshwater fish, but this one was actually solid. Cooked just right, no muddy taste. Place was busy but food came out fast enough. Good spot if you need a decent bite without wasting time.

The staff were super nice and made everything easy. Pool and sauna area was clean, chill spot to hang out with friends after a long day. 😊

The medieval show on Saturday was fun, staff really get into their characters. A bit rough around the edges but that's part of the charm. 🍻

The fried oyster appetizer was so good, and the tenderloin with shallots hit the spot. Definitely a solid pick for a casual dinner with friends. 😊

The staff really helped us out with the menu since our Czech is basically nonexistent. Sat in the back courtyard area which was nice. Prices seemed fair for what you got, portions were decent. Not a fancy place but it did the job. Would probably go back if I'm in the neighborhood again.

The lunch buffet here is solid. Naan kept coming out fresh and hot, staff were friendly. Good spot if you're craving Indian food in Písek.

The terrace was lovely, honestly. Soft evening light, no traffic noise. Service smiled a lot, which helped. But the risotto... it felt like they used regular rice, not arborio. Creamy but missing that bite. Beer list was just Budvar and one more. Fine for a quick drink outside, I guess. Just don't come expecting proper Italian.

Came here on a quiet weekday evening. Wild boar pie was solid, proper filling, not too dry. Schnitzel did the job too. Place has that old-school hunting lodge vibe, trophies on the walls and all. Service was quick, no complaints there. Maybe a bit touristy for my taste, but I'd stop by again if I'm in the area.

Nice local beer and the interior is really something. Food was good but you pay extra for being close to the castle. Still, a decent stop. 🍺
