Friendly staff and good food in an unexpected location! The menu a little too short still not a full blown restaurant so nothing to truly complain about.

The food was great and the staff good at their job. Nice place to dine when you have something to celebrate or just for a family dinner. The chidren have a good menu and are made welcome.

Been coming here for a while now. The crepes are always solid, never had a bad one. Place has a chill vibe, good for a relaxed bite. Yeah, it's a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Staff are friendly enough, never had an issue. It's just a dependable spot I keep going back to.

The pastries here are decent — fresh, and you can tell they put some care into them. Coffee was pretty good too. I stopped by on a weekday morning, tried one of the daily specials, and it didn’t disappoint. Nice enough place to sit for a bit. Only thing is it got a little busy later on, but that’s fine.

The entrecote was cooked properly, nice crust on it. Char with Sandefjord sauce worked well too, that sauce is always a winner. Staff was friendly, made us feel welcome. Cozy place, nothing fancy but solid. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but I left satisfied.

The vindaloo here actually has some proper heat to it. Nice to finally find that in Gävle. Veggie options are decent too, and the price felt fair for Sweden.

Came back the next night, that’s how much I liked it. The wine pairing was spot on, matched every dish really well. Staff made me feel welcome from the start. Just wish the portions were a bit bigger, left slightly hungry. But the food itself was solid, no complaints there.

The Hunker Down menu is a solid deal—bottle of wine plus several dishes for a fair price. Food was well-balanced and tasty. Staff actually took time to explain each plate.

Breakfast buffet was solid — plenty of local produce and a nice interior. Service could be a bit faster though.

Food took a while to come out. But the pork belly was properly crispy, sauce had a nice kick. That's what I came for.

The best waitress in gavle single handed served a table of 9 food starters drinks dessert. Big pay rise due to this lady.lovely views of the city, decor amazing chairs comfortable. Recommended for great night

Stopped by this old-school café in the city center for a quick fika. Coffee was solid, but the real highlight was the bun selection—so many to choose from, I almost couldn't decide. Staff were nice too, even when I took forever to pick. Just wish I had room to try more than one pastry.

Cozy place, good wine list. Had the duck—cooked well, looked nice on the plate. Portions are small for what you pay though.

Arrived for lunch at this beautiful looking whisky distillery 30 minute walk from downtown Gävle. Great lunch menu with good options and all food served promptly looking real good, tasting real good and good portion sizes. Love to find many good beers and whiskies too here that you can order a lot of small sample sizes of.

Super yummy pizzas in a smallish place with nice ambience and cool art. We would definitely return

Cozy spot, friendly staff. Had the pizza and soup—both tasty, though the crust was thinner than I usually like. Still a nice find.

Convenient spot near the center, easy to get to. The shrimp and avocado salad was pretty good, light and fresh. Just wish the portion had been a bit bigger.

The price tag made me pause at first, but honestly, the portions were generous enough that I left feeling it was fair. I tried their signature dish and it hit the spot. Place was busy for a weekday, which says something. Not somewhere I'd go every week, but for a treat now and then, sure.

Solid spot right on Stortorget. Good for a drink and watching people go by. Summer sun makes it hard to leave. Just a heads up, it gets packed fast and service can be a bit slow when it's busy. But the view makes up for it.

The mojitos were the highlight—properly made, not too sweet. Food was decent but the wait dragged a bit when it got busy. Would've liked a better wine list to match, though.

Loved the risotto here — creamy and just the right texture. Quiet spot for lunch, though it’s a bit pricey for what you get. Still, I’d come back for that pasta.

Solid spot in Gävle. Busy vibe but the food came out quick and tasted good for the price. Service stayed friendly even when it was packed.

The salmon over risotto was solid—cooked right, decent flavor. Appetizers came out pretty small though. Mains made up for it. Service was efficient, no complaints there. Fine for a business dinner if you're in the area.

We stopped by for lunch and honestly, the food was solid. I had the fish of the day and it was cooked just right. Parking right outside is a huge plus in Sandviken. Staff were nice, not overly chatty but helpful. Only thing, it took a bit to get the bill at the end. Still, a good spot if you're in the area.
