Yuqing travel guide and discussion

Yuqing, Guizhou 2-Day/1-Night Trip | Boating on Feilong Lake and tasting flavors by the Wujiang River Speaking of Yuqing in Zunyi, many people are unfamiliar with it. Hidden here is Feilong Lake, the largest man-made lake in Guizhou. With a 999-meter dragon-shaped corridor nestled against the mountains and water, clear lake waters, and quiet wilderness, it is perfect for avoiding crowds and taking a relaxing short trip. A 2-day/1-night stay is just enough to see the highlights. 📅 Itinerary [Day 1 Afternoon] Arrive in Yuqing and head straight to the Feilongzhai Scenic Area, the core area of Feilong Lake. You will immediately see the iconic 999-meter Feilong Corridor winding along the lakeshore. Climb up to the Dragon King Pavilion for a panoramic view of the entire Feilong Lake, where islands are scattered across the water. In the distance, you can see the Goupitan Hydropower Station, the highest dam in Asia, creating a picture-perfect landscape. If you have time, you can buy a boat ticket to tour the lake, cruise through the Wujiang River Gallery, enjoy the lake breeze, and take photos of the canyons and islands. Return to Yuqing county town in the evening to check in. [Day 1 Evening] For dinner, you must try Yuqing's signature boneless duck. The duck is deboned beforehand and stir-fried with local chili peppers, making it fresh, fragrant, and flavorful. After dinner, take a walk through the streets of the county town, try some cold shrimp dessert or sugar-coated sesame balls, and experience the slow-paced life of the small town. [Day 2 Morning] Wake up early for a bowl of lamb rice noodles, then stop by the site of the Red Army's forced crossing of the Wujiang River at Huilong Ferry to experience some revolutionary history. If you prefer natural scenery, you can also head to the Langshuiwan Scenic Area, where there are wild macaques in the forest and the Baihuagu Valley is surrounded by lush bamboo. After a quick tour, pack your bags and head home. 💰 Budget for one person (economy) Accommodation: One night in an economy hotel in the county town for 90 yuan; Dining: Breakfast 10 yuan + lunch 45 yuan + dinner 50 yuan, totaling 105 yuan; Tickets: Free admission to Feilongzhai Scenic Area, optional boat tour 80 yuan (can be skipped); Local taxi and transportation 35 yuan. 👉 Total budget without boat tour: 230 yuan; total budget with boat tour: 310 yuan. 💡 Blogger tips 1. The wind by the lake is relatively strong, and there is a significant temperature difference between morning and evening, so bring a light jacket. 2. Yuqing small-leaf kuding tea is a local specialty. If you want to buy souvenirs, you can pick some up at tea shops in the county town. 3. There are many water activities at Feilong Lake. With a budget of 1500 yuan, you can enjoy a 3-day trip in Yuqing not only comfortably but also quite luxuriously. Some people online have marveled that spending 100 yuan there can buy what costs 200 to 300 yuan elsewhere, and the key is that you can rediscover a long-lost, unhurried pace of life. Here is a customized itinerary for you, with clear arrangements for food, accommodation, and transportation: 🗺️ Itinerary arranged for a comfortable yet fulfilling pace · Day 1: Arrival in Yuqing & Strolling around the County Town · Morning/Afternoon: Take a bus from Guiyang or Zunyi to Yuqing. After settling in, visit the Urban Third Place Ecological Park next to your hotel. This is the only "urban agricultural park" in the country, with nearly 2,000 acres of flower seas, wetlands, and exotic wooden houses. Walking or renting a bike here is especially pleasant. · Evening: Find a Xu Family Lamb Noodle shop in the county streets. A bowl of authentic lamb noodles costs just over ten yuan, or try the local tofu flower noodles. After eating, take a stroll along the riverside promenade. Stay in an economical hotel in the urban area, about 100-120 yuan per night. · Day 2: Red Memories and Magnificent Terraced Fields · Morning: Drive to Dawujiang Town (about 40 minutes) to visit the Red Army’s battle site of the Wujiang River crossing. See the ferry crossing and memorial hall firsthand; this history inspires deep respect. · Afternoon: Walk to the nearby Hongdu Scenic Area. The Hongdu terraced fields cover more than 2,000 acres, winding from the foot to the top of the mountain, very spectacular. Any photo taken from the viewing platform looks like a masterpiece. · Evening: Return to the county town and be sure to try Yuqing’s boneless duck, featured on CCTV’s "Delicious China." The duck meat is deboned and stir-fried with konjac and tofu, spicy and appetizing, costing about 40-50 yuan per person. · Day 3: Feilong Lake Scenery & A Full Return · All day: Reserve your time for Feilong Lake Scenic Area. This artificial lake was formed by the Goupitan Hydropower Station and has 34 islands. You can take a boat tour or walk along the 999-meter-long "World’s First Feilong Corridor." · Afternoon: Buy some Yuqing small-leaf kuding tea and Long family enzyme tofu as souvenirs, then take a bus back to the county town to end your trip. 💰 Budget Breakdown Reference · Accommodation (2 nights): about 240 yuan. Choose economical hotels or inns in the county town, around 120 yuan per night. · Food (3 days): about 300 yuan. Calculated at 100 yuan per day, more than enough. Breakfast noodles (12 yuan), main meals of boneless duck or stir-fry, prices in the county town are very affordable. · Transportation (3 days): about 180 yuan. Yuqing’s attractions are quite spread out; travel to Hongdu and Feilong Lake mainly relies on urban-rural buses or minibuses. From the county town to Longxi costs about 4 yuan, and to Goupitan about 8 yuan. · Tickets and Activities: about 60 yuan. Most core attractions have free admission; this budget can be reserved for boat tours at Feilong Lake. · Shopping and Miscellaneous: about 220 yuan. Buy local specialties like kuding tea or chili sauce, and cover any unexpected expenses. Total about 1000 yuan. Your 1500 yuan budget is more than enough, leaving nearly 500 yuan as flexible reserve funds. 💡 A Few Thoughtful Tips · Transportation Tips: If departing from Guiyang or Zunyi, the bus is the most convenient. Yuqing county town has many bus routes, but trips to township attractions are limited, so check return times in advance. · Food List: Boneless duck, Aoxi tofu flower, Long family enzyme tofu, lamb noodles, and pickled chili are local delicacies not to be missed. · Accommodation Reminder: Bring your ID card; check-in requires one ID per person. · Alternative Plan: If you are interested in Tusi culture, you can replace the afternoon of Day 3 with a visit to Aoxi Tusi Ancient Town, which has over 1,300 years of history and offers a chance to experience northern Guizhou lantern culture and ancient architecture. If you have more specific requests about any attraction (such as the Feilong Lake boat tour) or accommodation, feel free to ask me anytime, and I’ll help you refine the plan~

✨During the weekend holiday, I took the kids to Yuqing and stayed at the Shengdi Hongcheng Health Hotel. The experience was really great, so today I want to share my thoughts with everyone!✨ 🌿**A lush environment that instantly relaxes you**🌿 The moment I stepped into Shengdi Hongcheng Health Hotel in Yuqing, I was drawn to the vast greenery. The hotel is right next to the Yuqing River and Riverside Park. In the early morning, standing on the balcony, you can see gentle ripples on the river and rolling mountains in the distance. This kind of scenery makes you forget all your worries and just want to take a deep breath of the fresh air.🌳 🍽️**A food lover’s paradise, a feast for your taste buds**🍽️ The hotel’s restaurant is on the second floor. The breakfast hall is spacious and bright, seating up to 100 guests at once. The breakfast selection is rich, offering traditional Chinese morning dishes as well as Western bread and coffee. I especially recommend their handmade soy milk and fried dough sticks—each bite tastes like home. For those who prefer a quiet dining experience, the Chinese private dining rooms are a great choice. There are 7 rooms with different themes, each decorated uniquely, allowing you to enjoy your meal while soaking in a strong cultural atmosphere. 🏊‍♂️**A national standard heated pool for year-round swimming**🏊‍♂️ The hotel’s national standard heated swimming pool was a highlight of this trip. Located on the first floor of the annex building, the pool is 50 meters long with 8 lanes. The water temperature is kept at a comfortable 28℃, so you can swim freely even in cold winter. The pool’s heating system uses advanced air source heat pump technology, which is both eco-friendly and efficient. Watching the kids play happily in the water warmed my heart. 💪**Comprehensive fitness facilities for an energetic day**💪 For sports enthusiasts, the hotel’s fitness center is a must-visit. It offers a variety of sports venues including a basketball court, badminton court, ping pong tables, billiards tables, snooker tables, a spinning room, and a yoga room. It’s also equipped with professional gym equipment like treadmills, fat-burning machines, and dumbbells. Whether you want an intense workout or a relaxing yoga session, you’ll find the right option here. The multifunctional hall on the third floor can also be converted into a large venue for up to 500 people, perfect for hosting various events. 🌟Overall, Shengdi Hongcheng Health Hotel in Yuqing left a deep impression on me with its excellent location, complete facilities, comfortable rooms, and warm, attentive service. Next time I visit Yuqing, I will choose this hotel again. I hope my sharing provides useful information for friends planning a trip to Yuqing!🌟

In the Longshuiwan scenic spot of Feilong Lake, the entire lake is 23 square kilometers, and the artificial lake enclosed by the construction of the Goupitan Hydropower Station cannot be bypassed. Because the lake is like a dragon, it is named Feilong Lake. Langshui Bay is just one of the scenic spots in Feilong Lake. Since it is a lake, the water project is the first choice for experience. I also want to take a speedboat and go to see the Goupitan Hydropower Station. After all, I have the reputation of being the first high dam in Asia. Because of the establishment of the dam, here The lake is also unfathomable, with a minimum of 60 meters and a water depth of more than 200 meters. To go to the power station, you need to take a speedboat. The pier is made up of floating plastic blocks. It is a little rocking when you step on it.

In Yuqing Hongdu Village, the Red Army once smashed back here three times, and finally won Zunyi in one fell swoop, becoming an important turning point. Under the name of Zunyi, the important small village in the red revolution seems to be a bit lonely. When I set foot on this land, I felt the vitality. Under the cracked rock wall, the magnificent terraces nourishe the villagers here, and the simple wind echoes in the valley. Only when you really calm down can you understand the small villages on the Wujiang River.
