Huinnyeoul Culture Village, known as the "Santorini of Korea," is a vibrant seaside arts community in Yeongdo-gu, Busan. Built on steep coastal cliffs, it offers stunning, unobstructed ocean views, colorful murals, quaint independent bookstores, and cozy cafes. It was originally a refuge for Korean War survivors. To access it you have to reach Yeongdo island, a scenic, mountainous island located off the southern coast of central Busan, South Korea. Connected to the mainland by bridges, it's popular as a local and tourist getaway for its dramatic coastal cliffs, oceanfront walking trails, and fresh seafood. Yeongdo is an island located in the southern part of Busan, boasting beautiful coastal scenery, and bustling with tourists. Here are my top 3 recommendations. 1. ATERIER_O (Cafe) While there are plenty of cafes in Yeongdo, this one offers a spacious interior and even has a second floor. 2. Foot Bath Cafe View You can enjoy a 30-minute foot bath along with a light massage. Drinks are available to order, and you can get them to go if you don't finish. 3. Yeongdo Haenyeo Culture Exhibition Hall Sea urchin is the local specialty here! I ordered sweet sea urchin and seafood ramen. I had a relaxing meal outside while looking out at the ocean. It was packed with seafood and so delicious~

While strolling through the alleys of Huinnyeoul Village, I stumbled upon a small cafe named Sosohan. True to its name, the space had a quiet and cozy atmosphere. It's a charming gift shop offering a beautiful ocean view! The cafe itself is incredibly cute, but the most memorable part of my visit was the cat. There's a resident cat in the cafe that isn't shy around people at all and freely roams inside the shop and around the alleys. Sometimes you'll spot it quietly sitting in random corners of the store, or catching some rays and resting by the window. Thanks to the uniquely laid-back vibe of Huinnyeoul Village and the presence of this cat, it felt even more peaceful and delightfully simple. It was a joy to casually spot the hiding cat and watch what it does. Sipping coffee while gazing at the sea, and being greeted by a cat—it’s the kind of cafe that just puts your mind at ease. Just walking around, I kept thinking, "This is cute! That’s cute!" ✨ I discovered it simply by wandering through various paths, so I can’t provide an exact location, haha. Among them, this shop has a great view and delicious bread🤩 "AETHER" I went there early in the morning, so there weren't many people and I was able to take lots of photos✨ This cafe was recommended by an acquaintance who lives in Busan. The view was great from the moment I opened the door, and I couldn't stop being excited👀 I ordered croissants and ice cream! The croissants were also crispy and really delicious.
