Before going, I heard that the official ticket sales had been suspended because villagers had scared them away with firecrackers during the Spring Festival. But I still wanted to try my luck. I read in the travel guides that the daily feeding time was around 5 pm. So, after lunch on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, I drove from Zhaotong city to the Dashanbao Black-necked Crane Nature Reserve. Once inside the reserve, it was a mountain road, but the road conditions were excellent. The scenery was also incredibly beautiful, and we were lucky to have such good weather. Under the blue sky and white clouds, there wasn't much traffic. Near the entrance, many villagers stopped our car and asked if we wanted them to take us in. We drove all the way to the parking area at the very back of Dahai Lake.
