The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. The term acropolis is generic and there are many other acropoleis in Greece. During ancient times the Acropolis of Athens was known also more properly as Cecropia, after the legendary serpent-man, Cecrops, the supposed first Athenian king. This is a small water bassin that looks like a lake just near the sea. On the other side of the lake is the beach I am showing. It is very near the mainland Greece and is accessible only by ferry from Komotini since there is no airport on the island but anyway you need a car there, so is ok. Coming here felt like living the life I'd always dreamed of – the scenery is breathtaking. Want to surf? Then you've come to the right place! 【The Wonders of the Lagoon】Located on the south side of the island, the lagoon will not disappoint! The water is crystal clear, a beautiful blue, and even the waves are refreshing. Surfing in the transparent azure water is truly wonderful. You can also try diving from a high point! Just be careful, though, as there are sea urchins and rocks at the bottom of the lagoon that can hurt your feet, so make sure you check the bottom before playing. Also, be prepared for sunburn, as the sun is quite strong here. The beaches on the island, especially the Gold Coast, are truly unforgettable. 【The Enchanting Gold Coast】The golden sands are filled with people basking in the sun, children building sandcastles, and of course, bikini-clad beauties. Coffee time

My son took me to the Anthelia, and I hadn’t been there since before Covid. It truly lived up to its excellent 5-star reputation—the room with a view of the pool was fabulous. The quiet Butterfly area, luxurious sunbeds, superb umbrellas, and quality towels made the experience top-notch. The food and drinks were beyond 5-star. Plus, the entertainment was excellent every night. It genuinely felt like coming home.

The entrance fee was around 5 euros, a small price to pay for paradise! Managed to visit the Acropolis during my recent trip to Greece and it was nothing short of amazing! This place has so much history and the sights are spectacular! The museum is right beside the site with affordable entry tickets, and was such an eye opener. Weather was great to travel around Greece. recommend people to travel in Oct in future!
