Drive to the town of Taos in the mountains, with a 1000-year old Indian village. Turning to a street called Kit Carson, a beautiful Adolbi building appears in front of it, with the house of Benavides. The hostess is a descendant of the Spanish immigrant, holding a small baby in her hand, shaking while helping us check in.
The khaki wall is combined with the sky blue door, the tacit sense is full, and the decoration of the room is full of rough Indian flavor. However, because there is no network, most of the time I stayed here is still on the sofa in the living room, and I feel the sunshine from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
In Taos Town, there are countless large and small hotels. If you have enough time, you may want to find a homestay building, talk to the owner about the town, and bring the traditional Indian architecture to the modern The comfort of life is exhausted. I stayed in Casa Benavides for three days in one go, listening to the owner telling the story of their immigration from Spain in the free breakfast and afternoon tea snacks. When you slow down the pace of travel to life, you can slowly appreciate the taste.

Taos (Taos) the word Indian Tawa, meaning "red willow land", located in a tributary of the Rio Grande River Among the valleys, it consists of a series of settlements and ceremonial centers. The highest point in New Mexico, Wheeler Peak, is in the north of the town. The small town began in 1615. It was the earliest settlement of the Spaniards. Experienced the same violent process of colonization, rebellion, and conquest. The
stream flows from the blue lake on the Holy Blood Mountain in the distance, and flows through the wooden bridges to divide the Taos village into the North House and the South House.
North House, the grand five-story structure of the castle, the door is deep, the paint is blue or purple, and the ladders are placed on the wall. This is the wisdom of the ancient Indians in the arid environment of the west: people mix the soil, straw and water, pour it into the model and dry it into bricks, all the houses are made of these dried bricks, and then The surface layer is coated with mud.
The wall thus built can be as thick as a few feet, the roof of each floor is supported by large eucalyptus, staggered with small eucalyptus, and finally compacted with mud. Because of the lack of rain, the house only needs to be repaired once a year.
