Tips and Tricks:
The name "Longhuixia" can be broken down into its components:
- "Long" (龙) means "dragon" in Chinese.
- "Hui" (回) could refer to the Hui ethnic group, but in this context, it's more likely to mean "return" or "revive."
- "Xia" (峡) means "canyon" or "gorge."
So, the name "Longhuixia" roughly translates to "Dragon's Revive Canyon" or "Dragon's Return Gorge." The name may have cultural or historical significance tied to the area, but the exact origin may vary.
If your going to this magnificent place keep in mind that weather can change rapidly as, in general, hilly areas capture clouds and are more prone to unexpected rainfalls. ⛈️ So think about shoes you'll be wearing as the caves and stone walkways might become abnormally slippery. 🙃 Also, grab an umbrella as some of the streams and waterfallsfa splash right on the foothpath through the Longhuixia Gap. ☔
Upon exiting the scenic spot and heading to the buses you'll pass by small vendors selling fruits and refreshments. If something catches your eye you might be better off buying whatever you saw back in Wulong city as the prices within scenic areas are generally higher than out of them. 💹 In our case we found and amazingly delicious banana-looking fruit. Despite buying it within the scenic are, the taste of it seemed to be worth every yuan(¥) we paid for it.🤤
Enjoy!💙💚💛

Chongqing- Welcome to Wulong!
Getting There - High speed train to Wulong. From there you can get a DiDi or a cab to the tourist center. From there, you take a bus to the three gorges karst. (about 20mins or so)
Attractions - Wulong three gorges. This place is also a film location for the Transformers.
Hotels - There are hotels you can book in Wulong. I’d recommend booking 2 nights if you want to go to Fairy mountain and the cave as well.
Food & Restaurants - There are restaurants in the city of Wulong but once you get to the three gorges karst, there are no restaurants.

Must see in Wulong, Chongqing
📍 Getting There - Taxi to Chongqing North train station, train from there to Wulong station, take a taxi from there to Wulong tourist centre. Do exactly the same on the way back. Just check the trains (as there aren’t many). You could get bus from Wulong to Chongqing too!
⭐️ Attractions - Buy a ticket at the Wulong tourist centre for three bridges (make sure you take your passport, QR codes and 48 hour Chongqing Covid test). After, a bus takes you from the tourist centre to the place. It’s a 4km walk through some beautiful scenery.
🏨 Hotels - Not too many hotels there so I booked the Glenview Hotel which is central Chongqing (10 mins from the train station).
👤 A special thank you to Nina from the Wulong tourist centre who helped me with travel and Covid tests. I’d recommend call the centre and sharing your contact information so it’s easier to communicate.
🌈 I couldn’t find an exact way to get there (based on the reviews) so I’m making this on what I did to hopefully help someone else.
