Take time to wander and explore Taiwan!
#citywalk
It was a very chilled and relax afternoon when the whole of the family decided to explore Taichung and Taipei city just by strolling around.
The weather was perfect to enjoy a little break in the park when the cherry blossom was blooming. We also had a coffee in the cafe called Zhuo-Mo. Everything was slowing down and we really got to appreciate things better. We also had the famous beef noodle at Yong Kang street. It was my second visit but it’s still as good.
Not to miss out was the popular mango shaved ice that came in a super huge portion. We couldn’t stop eating it even though it was 16 degrees. Of course, we must get the bubble tea 🧋 from the legendary bubble tea chain , Chun Shui Tang.
It’s truly a fruitful and enjoyable trip to visit Taiwan again ❤️#taiwan #foodie #beefnoodles #bubbletea
Cool Off with Ice Cream and Cold Drinks!🥤🍦🧋
Address: Mixue, 241 Victoria St, Singapore 188030
Highlights: Vanilla ice cream
Avg. Price per Person: $3
Rating: 3.5/5
In Singapore hot and humid weather, it is important to keep hydrated and cool. It’s no wonder you can always find bubble tea shops around the corner. Recently, I came across this new chain that popped up across the island selling ice cream cones, and wide variety of cold drinks from bubble teas to fruity teas! Their prices are also very affordable, you can get something for $2-3 dollar. The cream ice cone size is quite large so I shared it with my friend. The fruit tea had lots of real fruits inside too! I tried it and it is definitely not bad given the price! Stay hydrated and cool!

It is such a cute cafe and there is a Photo Booth for you to take picture with your friends , family and lover. #bangkok #bubbletea #cute
Xingfutang - A Shout Out Worth Queuing For!
#newyearadventure #xingfutang #bubbletea #drinks #taiwan #taipei #ximen #foodie #mustry #musteat
Xingfutang is one of the many popular bubble tea store brands that has been well established and franchise world wide.
But when you are here, you should at least give this original Xingfutang a try. The boba here is so soft and chewy and it seems like it melts in your mouth. That explains the long queue!
Also, you will able to see how the staff process the bubble tea, cook it and into your cup! They too have a set meal that comes with fried chicken where its sold everywhere. Well, in my own opinion, the chicken was just alright, nothing too fantastic. But for sure the bubble tea is a MUST go for! Please don't miss this out! Ask for the burnt brown sugar ones, you will be able to have some of the brown sugar crisp found in your drink too.

We got to attend a bubble tea creation session held at the venue of Capella Hotel and it was pretty interesting. The staff walked us through every ingredient that went into making the drink, then we got to try making one for ourselves. At the end of it, we could drink our own creation, very interactive experience!

New-age bubble tea
Ba Wang Cha Ji is one of the newer bubble tea brands to hit the shores of Singapore and it makes use of pretty innovative techniques for some of their more premium offerings. One of their teas only has a limited serving per day as it takes quite a while to make. Other than that, their tea flavours are also pretty refined, easily making it one of our favourite bubble tea brands!

The Alley bubble tea, KSL City
Address - L2-142, Level two, KSL City Mall, No. 33 Jalan Seladang, Taman Abad Johor Bahru 80250
Opening Hours - 11:00AM - 9:00PM
Average price per pax - RM12
The Alley is located on the second floor of KSL City Mall. While there are several bubble teas stores here, my favourite is still The Alley!
While the top number one drink on their list is the brown sugar deerioca milk, i still prefer my Royal No. 9 milk tea. The fragrance of the tea is something you can’t beat, its fragrance is so unique to me. A cup cost as much as back in Singapore.
There is a small bar top and stools where you can enjoy your drink at and rest your feet. Alternatively, you can “house” the men there while the ladies shop at Daiso which is located just around the corner! Yay!

aesthetic bubble tea shop near Haji Lane
If you haven’t heard of this aesthetic bubble tea brand, @machimachi_singapore is apparently one of Jay Chou’s faves and was even featured in his music video ‘Won't Cry’ (𝘣𝘵𝘸 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨 🎵)
We went to the branch near Haji Lane - absolutely loved the minimalistic sign above the seats outside (📷 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘱𝘱) as well as the pretty bottles (𝘐 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘶𝘴𝘦)
𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐉𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨
Surprisingly this was my fave, as the refreshing nature helped beat the hot weather, plus the smooth texture and slight sourness of the plum jello at the bottom of the bottle really stood out 👍🏻
𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐚
I ordered this just #forthegram and kinda regretted it 😅 Don’t get me wrong, I actually quite enjoyed the sweet strawberry milk, but the creamy panna cotta made this feel more like a dessert than a drink, and was quite heavy after lunch that I still felt bloated till dinner time… so I would recommend sharing with someone 😌
ᴡᴏʀᴛʜ ᴛʜᴇ ʜʏᴘᴇ?
Yes, I’ll give it a second chance and would probably try their tea-based drinks next time 🍵

Xing Fu Tang Bubble Teas in Muar
Xing Fu Tang Bubble Tea originated from Taiwan and was established in 2018. In just a short span of years, they have already expanded to all over the world and have opened multiple outlets throughout the countries they are in. I visited this outlet in Muar as it is located just next to our hotel. I love their Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk; it isn't extremely sweet. The pearls are flavorful, big and chewy and the top part is caramelized by flames. One of the nicest brown sugar pearls with milk I'll ever taste. Worth the hype.

Batam bubble tea flavours
Address - Grand Batam Shopping Centre, Jalan Pembangunan, Batu Selicin, Kec. Lubuk Baja, Kota Batam, Kepulauan Riau 29444, Indonesia
Even in Batam, you can find the popular bubble tea brand called Koi The, but they are selling flavours that I haven’t seen before! My husband and I wanted to try the lotus biscuit milk tea, one of the specialty flavours. It tasted more on the sweet side so you might to consider ordering with a lower sugar level.
The ambience inside the cafe was quite pleasant also, with modern furnishings and warm lighting. However, it is not really a space to linger for long as it is quite open and may be less conducive when it gets crowded.

Highlights - Cheese milk tea

Rating - 3.5/5
This LiHO TEA outlet which is located at Bugis+ actually is one of the few outlet that boosted seating and tables for customers to sit down and enjoy the bubble tea. Even a quite big area too as well. Located at the corner of the mall, during afternoon tea time is the perfect timing to buy a milk tea to chill with friends. In case you did not know, LiHo is also a Singapore brand bubble tea and the first one to create the popular "cheese" milk tea here as well! I love this cheese milk tea where you take a sip of the tip of the cup to taste thr cheese before mixing them into the drinks for a different falvour.

The Alley (with seating)
The Alley
Address - 10 Tampines Central 1, #02-K3, Singapore 529536
Ambiance/Facilities - Quiet and cosy
Highlights - bubble tea
Avg. Price per Person - $3.50
Rating - 4/5
The Alley is a bubble tea outlet that is from Taiwan. They do have various stores around Singapore but the one here actually have seating area and sells cake too, almost like a cafe itself! I love to come here to chill with friends during the afternoon and chit chat since most of the time people do take away and not much will be sitting down to sip the milk tea. The normal tea without milk tasted real good with a hint of tea leaves and honey, this is me favorite flavour. They also have special menu monthly depending on the festival as well.
As most people takeaway or order it by food delivery, the waiting time for the drinks sometimes do take a while before your number is being call.
Still, a nice bubble tea cafe to chill in if you are not rushing for time.

Conveniently located just beside Tampines MRT is Gong Cha bubble tea. They actually closed down few years ago suddenly and came back to Singapore under another management so you can see how much Singaporeans love Gong Cha.
I love to come to this outlet though small but most of the time I do not have to wait after I ordered. Perfect for that hot weather to grab and go after a long day of walking in the shopping mall.
They have the usual milk tea and now even have tea series which is more expensive but you can taste the tea.

Chinese Tofu Magician Surprise
Address - #01-51 Paya Lebar Square (beside Paya Lebar MRT)
Highlights - Soymilk bubble tea with Mochi balls
Price (signature drinks) - $6.20
Rating - 🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤
Always see long queues at the outlet and hence didn’t get to try it until now. The long queue no longer forms at Paya Lebar Square (first outlet in Singapore) when the other 3 newer outlets at VivoCity, Chinatown Point and 313@Somerset came. Hence I jumped at the opportunity to try the raved signature drink, Original Soy Milk Tea with White Jade Balls.
The special here is they use the traditional way of stone grinding the good quality soybeans to generate the soy milk. The signature drink comes with soy foam and mocha balls which is very fluffy and chewy. Soybean powder is also generously sprinkled on top. There’s also tofu in the drink giving another texture to the whole presentation. The whole experience is really lifted with the various layering (有层次感). Really love the drink. We chose 50% sugar level which brings out the soybean fragrance.
Will hope to try the others like Black Sesame and Matcha versions next.

Chicha bubble tea
Address - CHICHA San Chen Cafe, 313@Somerset Shopping Centre, 313 Orchard Road, #03-41, Singapore 238895
CHICHA San Chen is one of my favourite bubble tea brands in Singapore to drink! Originating from Taiwan, the land of bubble tea, the teas they use here are more exquisite and carries a premium taste to it.
I especially like their konjac jelly topping which is similar to the white pearls at other bubble tea shops. The drinks are a lot less sweet and have a greater depth of tea flavour. It is slightly more expensive than regular bubble tea though but very worth it!

I was initially quite skeptical about how the bubble tea here would taste as it didn’t seem all that appealing but when I finally gave it a try, I was very pleasantly surprised! The peach oolong tea I chose was light and fragrant without being overly sweet, which was exactly what I like.

Did not drink bubble tea for so many years ever since the first bubble tea craze ended by the mid-2000s. I know bubble tea business and offerings have changed heaps for the last > 10 years but just never have the intent or curiosity to try bubble tea again. But this changed, thanks to trip.com’s collaboration with Milksha. My love for bubble tea has reignited.
I have always love milk and anything dairy. Hence for the fun and camaraderie in the Trip.com’s telegram channel, I got not 1 but all 4 discounted coupons. Oh boy! No regrets! 🤗
Got to try out various flavours which I find it interesting. The staff at Milksha are also very patient explaining to me the numerous offerings. They must have been amused by my lack of knowledge about bubble tea drinks. Haha! 😆
Thank you trip.com and Milksha. Bubble tea has a returned fan and I’m sure this time, this will be for long…

If you are finding a place to drink tea, this place will be a good place. Despite that this store is popular for bubble tea, but it's premium store is favourable towards various delicate tea craft.
For me, I usually will come to the store to order either the Alisan tea if not the Floating Cold Brew. Also, I like to get their speciality bread and also waffle.
Depending on your preference, the staffs are always friendly to be there to recommend you if you are not sure what to order. There are also seasonal alcoholic bubble tea there for you to order that is exclusive for the outlet.
Nice environment to relax and chill with families and friends. Just note that seats are limited during weekends so be there earlier!

Lingang quest: Haricots
Haricots Coffee is located in Harbour City Plaza Fitness in Gangcheng Square, Lingang New City. Also known as Chaquexing.
This coffee shop is also a fast food and steak restaurant, depending of the time of the day, inviting for a brunch. It’s located in second floor, but easy to spot. Ambience is nice, a bit rustic and spacious. Music is also quite inviting to chill for a moment.
Bakery was starting around 9:30am, I supposed because I found no pastry 🥐 or bread available despite the fact the kitchen seemed busy. My coffee, I found it a bit expensive for a blend, specially in Lingang area. However, there were no many coffee shops or restaurants available either.
On the other hand, my friend really liked his bubble tea. Cakes 🎂 look good, but not a big fan of sweets in the morning.

Songjiang quest: Iced drinks in summer
Songjiang district is a bit so know and yet such beautiful district in Shanghai. Local government has invested a lot in city embellishments and this area is not the exception. This area is supposed to be the historical origin of Shanghai, land of rice and fish (and you definitely can find many seafood 🦞 restaurants here).
This summer ☀️ mornings have proven to be hotter than any other day of the year. My visit to Coffee & Milk after a bike ride was extremely refreshing (although they could hurry a bit more in preparing the drink 🥤 before I passed out of insolation). Staff doesn’t speak English at all.
This drinks-only shop offers a variety of coffee drinks, milk teas and bubble teas, hot or cold. Coffee & Milk is located besides the Fuyue Hotel, in same building complex area so it’s easy to spot from the distance (but hard to find in maps). Drinks are quite nice, my option went for a passion fruit lemonade drink that made wonders with my thirst.

Foodie Diaries: Ice cream & cocktails
RIO is a Shanghai’s produced cocktail drinks, known as alcopop wine. Alcopop are drinks have 1-7% of alcohol amount and resemblance soft drinks. RIO cocktails 🍹 cost around 8 to 15 RMB, and are made with vodka, gin, white rum or whiskey, and a fruity flavored drink. These drinks are very popular among the Chinese youth, specially girls.
RIO Lab is located in Xintiandi area, has a big variety of soft drinks, bubble teas (with and without alcohol), flavored cocktails (additional to those you can find in the stores), smoothies and ice cream 🍨!! Additionally, cakes 🧁 look absolutely gorgeous.
RIO Lab is supposed to be all about innovation. The new popular drinks prolly become new mass produced, with odd flavors like yogurt drink+vodka cocktail you can find in stores. If you haven’t try it, it’s actually very yummy 🍦 🍹 .
Personally, I had tried in the past the mix of vainilla ice cream, red wine and frozen fruits. Therefore, I am very open to try as many ideas as they show, because there’s a high possibility it’s going to be delicious 🤤.
