Prominent landmark in Florence, Italy
#winhkflight #belltower #Florence #Italy
Giotto’s Bell Tower, also known as Giotto’s Campanile stands at a height of approximately 84 metres with ornate bell chambers and arched windows, located in the Piazza del Duomo. It is a prominent landmark in Florence, Italy.
You need to pay an entrance to climb the 414 steps to the top of Giotto’s Bell Tower. The stairs are quite narrow and it can be quite tiring but it definitely worth of climbing up as the top of Giotto’s Bell Tower, you able to enjoy the panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills. Is breathtaking.
If you don’t want to spend any money, you can stroll around and walk around the piazza for free and see the Giotto’s Bell Tower from outside.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to see the panoramic views of the city.
Florence: Awe-Inspiring Grandeur at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore

Florence's Iconic Landmark
#florence #dome
The Dome of Florence, synonymous with the city's skyline, is a treasure trove of masterpieces spanning numerous epochs. However, a visit is incomplete without ascending to the top of its iconic dome. Due to limited visitors, securing tickets online beforehand is crucial for this awe-inspiring experience.
The magical panorama from the top unveils Florence in all its historic glory. The ascent involves navigating steep stairs and narrow vaults, adding a sense of adventure to the journey. The architectural marvel and the breathtaking views make this ascent an absolute must, offering a unique perspective on Florence's rich heritage.
Romantic sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo
One of the most romantic things to do in Florence believe or not has been watching the sunset from Piazzale Michelangelo!
Getting here is extremely easy:
You can walk by Florence center, which is approximately 15 mins walking or by taking a bus.
The best time to get to piazzale Michelangelo is at least one hour before the sunset. This place gets really really busy. Even getting there an hour before you may find difficult walking thru the steps since people wait there for long time. The best part is that you can enjoy a drink or a pizza while watching since there are a few vendors. This is one of probably the top rated free activity in Florence.
Enjoy your stay!

Under the Tuscan Sun in Florence
I was immediately enchanted with Florence, and it quickly my favorite place in Italy. Luckily, I had a lovely airbnb host who sat down and listed the best sites and museums to visit, where and when to see the sunset, and where to get great tripe (Mercato Centrale) and roast pork sandwich. Florence is so rich in art, architecture, history, food - I had a great four days there, but my one regret was that I didn’t get tickets early enough to visit the top of the Duomo or the Uffizi (definitely book in advance).

a day in….. Florence 🌷
how spending a day in Florence looks like #italy #florence #mustvisit
Florence, Italian Firenze, Latin Florentia, city, capital of Firenze provincia (province) and Toscana (Tuscany) regione (region), central Italy. The city, located about 145 miles (230 km) northwest of Rome, is surrounded by gently rolling hills that are covered with villas and farms, vineyards, and orchards. Florence was founded as a Roman military colony about the 1st century BCE, and during its long history it has been a republic, a seat of the duchy of Tuscany, and a capital (1865–70) of Italy. During the 14th–16th century Florence achieved preeminence in commerce and finance, learning, and especially the arts.

8. It took 16 years to complete the dome.

Most romantic views in Florence
Behind me you see the Ponte Vecchio - a medieval stone arch bridge that spans the Arno River in Florence, Italy. How picturesque are the views? 💖✨
Some interesting facts about the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence:
1. Ponte Vecchio means "old bridge" in Italian.
2. The bridge dates back to 1345, and it was the only bridge across the Arno River to survive World War II.
3. The bridge is lined with charming shops that sell a variety of items. The stores date back to the 14th century when the shops were originally occupied by butchers and fishmongers, but today they are mostly jewellery shops.
4. The bridge also features the Vasari Corridor, which is an elevated passageway. It was built in the 16th century by the architect Giorgio Vasari, which connects the Uffizi Gallery to the Palazzo Pitti.
5. The Ponte Vecchio offers great views of the city, especially at sunset, which is when I went and was lucky to witness the most beautiful sunset. It is definitely a great spot for photography, the bridge's architecture and the River Arno's panoramic views make a great backdrop for pictures don’t you think?

rainy christmas in florence! ✨
My most recent trip was to Florence, Italy in December with my partner. Italy as always is super romantic and even more amazing at Christmas with the light festival throughout the city making every street a performance of lights. Our favourite sights were the Santa de Croca and the famous ponte vechio bridge! The architecture is incredible, every street you turn theres an amazingly designed building and you can see the cathedral from practically everywhere!
Our hotel was right near the cathedral so made it super easy to find our way home, however the city has such good character you get to learn it so fast!
Would definitely reccomend! And the rain pours down heavy but it brought so much reflection with the lights, it was just perfect! #Christmaslights #florence #italy #romanticcity

Florence, capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto.

#celebratewithtrip
We visited Florence for a day. I fell in love with this city as soon as we arrived. It is a truly magical breathtaking place. I didn't want to leave and wished that we could have stayed longer as we didnt get to see as much as we would have liked.
This was out first experience of the city and the view just took our breath away! We walked down to the centre, crossing the river and taking our time to explore!! The city is rich in art and history, and you can walk everywhere. The churches such as Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce are by themselves art museums worthy of a visit. We also visited the Palazzo Vecchio, Giotto's Bell Tower, Piazza del Duomo. Then, we took the city bus and parked at PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO which is free parking and has the most incredibly beautiful views of Florence. It was a great first experience of the city. The city has a great vibe to it, the people are lovely and so much more laid. The best day of our holiday!!
Pro tips:
1. Buy tickets ahead of time and skip the line
2. Prepare to spend a significant amount of money
3. Spend an entire day or two (it's enough) in Florence
