Strolling Around Chin Swee Caves Temple Genting🇲🇾
#familytrips2024
For this trip is went to Genting Highlands with my mom and spent about 2days there, the most favorite, historical and instagrammable post in this area is Chin Swee Caves Temple.
The Chin Swee Caves Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Genting Highlands. It was built by Lim Goh Tong, the founder of the Genting Highlands and completed in 1994. The temple is dedicated to Reverend Chin Swee (also known as Qingshui) a chinese Buddhist monk from the 9th century.
There are two ways to get to Chin Swee Temple, the easiest way to get to Chin Swee Temple is by taking the cable car from either Genting Highlands or Premium Outlet and getting off the Chin Swee Cave Temple Station.
On the other hand, for visitors taking private transportation, one can head straight to the entrance of the temple and park the vehicle at the side of the road.
Entrance Fee to Chin Swee Temple is FREE with opening hours from 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM (Daily).

I explored Batu Caves, a mesmerizing geological marvel in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia, boasting a complex of caves and Hindu temples dedicated to Murugan. Its ancient limestone origins date back 400 million years, and it's revered as one of the most significant Hindu shrines outside India. Founded in 1890 by K. Thamboosamy Pillai, the site has been a focal point for religious worship and cultural celebrations, particularly during the annual Thaipusam festival. Despite enduring historical events, such as the 1942 Communist Party meeting, Batu Caves remains resilient, symbolizing the enduring spirit of faith and devotion. In 2018, its 272 steps underwent a vibrant makeover, sparking a debate over conservation and modernization. Nevertheless, Batu Caves continues to stand as a testament to the convergence of nature, spirituality, and human endeavor, inviting all to experience its profound beauty and historical significance.

VISIT TO BATU CAVES MALAYSIA🇲🇾
If you don't know Batu Caves, Batu Caves is a limestone hill, which has a series of caves and cave temples, located in the Gombak district, Selangor, Malaysia. This place is named after the Batu River, which flows through the hill. Batu Caves is also the name of a nearby village.
Lots of tourists visit there because it is so interesting, one of the icons of Malaysia.
When I traveled to Kuala Lumpur I bought flight and hotel on trip.com and when I was there I often used private vehicles because they were more comfortable and faster.
From my hotel in the center of Kuala Lumpur city, it only took me approximately 25 minutes to arrive at Batu Caves and entry to Batu Caves is free.
You can enjoy the atmosphere while giving food to the many birds there, and can take as many photos and videos as you like.

Great Stay in Kuala Lumpur
#familytrips2024
My stay at Amari Hotel KL was delightful. The hotel is fairly new, and I decided to try it out based on its ratings. From the moment we entered the lobby, it stood out compared to other similarly rated hotels. The room was fantastic—quiet, spacious, and exceptionally clean. The hotel's location is also excellent, with reasonable prices. This was my third stay at the hotel. Situated in Mid Valley, the hotel's location is strategic in Kuala Lumpur, with a skybridge connecting it to Midvalley Mall.
Our dream destination for our family trip is China as it's rich history, diverse culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious cuisine make it a captivating place to visit.

TWIN TOWERS!
Soaring high above the Kuala Lumpur skyline, the Petronas Twin Towers were unlike anything I'd ever seen. These architectural marvels held the title of the world's tallest twin towers for years, and they definitely live up to the hype.
Getting to the towers was a breeze. The Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) area, where the towers are located, is easily accessible by public transport. I opted for the train, which dropped me right underneath the towers.
The first thing that struck me was their sheer scale. Gazing up at the gleaming skyscrapers, I couldn't help but feel dwarfed. The unique Islamic geometric design, inspired by traditional motifs, added another layer of intrigue.
But the Petronas Twin Towers are more than just a pretty sight. They're a symbol of Malaysia's modernity and progress.
If you're ever in Kuala Lumpur, visiting the Petronas Twin Towers is an absolute must. They're a true architectural marvel and a Malaysian icon.

Watch Ocean From Penang Hill
#tripxplorproject
Penang Hill is one of the famous spots in Penang. It has two ways to reach the hilltop—either by train or on foot. I chose to experience walking through the jungle path. As you start ascending, the first thing that captures your attention is a beautiful Chinese Buddhist temple with unique architecture. Inside the temple, there is a way to continue your journey.
After passing through a dirt trail, you come across a house dating back around 100 years. Along this historical path, you encounter numerous heritage houses, remnants of British colonialism. Continuing the journey, you enter a jungle path with various animals, especially cute monkeys, making it an interesting experience.
Finally, when you reach the hilltop, you find a lot of delicious restaurants, cafes, and various recreational activities. There are also historical buildings, temple, mosques, and a vibrant atmosphere.

Snakes are everywhere here 🫣 | Snake Temple
#tripxplorproject
During my visit to the Snake Temple in George Town, Penang, Malaysia, also known as the Temple of the Azure Clouds, I was immersed in its captivating atmosphere. Constructed in 1805, this ancient Chinese temple pays homage to Master Qingshui, a revered Buddhist monk renowned for his miraculous deeds. Legend has it that upon the temple's completion, snakes, particularly Wagler's pit vipers, began appearing spontaneously, adding to its mystical allure.
As I wandered through the temple's hallowed halls, I was struck by its rich history and spiritual significance. The air was filled with the fragrant smoke of burning incense, creating a serene ambiance. Amidst this sacred atmosphere, visitors encounter pit vipers, believed to be rendered harmless by the mystical energy of the temple. Additionally, the temple is home to a diverse array of snake species, offering a truly immersive experience for those brave enough to explore its depths.
Beyond its association with snakes, the Snake Temple boasts several notable features, including the revered "Dragon Eye Wells" and majestic brass bells, each with its own story to tell. In 2005, a snake breeding center was established within the temple premises, further enhancing its significance as a sanctuary for these mystical creatures. The Snake Temple's enduring legacy and cultural significance make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Penang's heritage.

MERDEKA SQUARE, KUALA LUMPUR
Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur's heart, isn't your typical tourist attraction. It's a vast field where Malaysia declared independence in 1957. The atmosphere is electric. Standing here, you're filled with a sense of awe. The world's tallest flagpole displays the Malaysian flag, a symbol of freedom.
But Merdeka Square is more than a flagpole. The majestic Sultan Abdul Samad Building flanks one side, adding grandeur with its clock tower and domes. It's a popular photo spot.
The best part? Experiencing the local vibe. Merdeka Square is a place for families to relax. Kids chase pigeons, while groups gather for picnics. It's a glimpse into Malaysian life, a welcome escape from the city's buzz.
If you're looking for thrills, this square might not be it. But if you want to experience Malaysian history and culture, it's a hidden gem waiting to be explored.

BATU CAVES KUALA LUMPUR
Standing at the foot of the rainbow-painted staircase, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The colossal golden statue of Lord Murugan guarding the entrance set the tone for this unique spiritual and cultural landmark.
Climbing the 272 steps wasn't easy in the Malaysian heat, but the view from the top was worth it. The Batu Caves themselves are a sight to behold - massive natural caverns that have been used as Hindu places of worship for centuries.
Inside the caves, colorful murals and shrines depict scenes from Hindu mythology. While some of the smaller caves have paid entry, the main cave is free to explore.
Keep an eye out for the cheeky monkeys that call the caves home! They're known to snatch unattended belongings, so be mindful of your valuables.
Overall, the Batu Caves are a fascinating place that offers a glimpse into Malaysian culture and religion. It's a must-visit for any traveler looking for a unique experience.

The Head of Dragon is here 🐲 | Stone Dragon Hill
#tripxplorproject
Finally, I hiked Stone Dragon Hill. It wasn't a difficult hike; it took around 30 minutes to reach the top. At the summit, you'll find the iconic rock formation depicted in the first picture. There, I saw the Dragon's Head Rock, a stunning geological marvel evoking myth and reality. Upon reaching the summit, I was greeted by an awe-inspiring panorama that stretched across Penang City. The view was particularly enchanting as the sunset painted the sky with vibrant hues. It served as a mesmerizing escape, captivating me with its incredible scenery. On my way back home, I stumbled upon a durian farm managed by an elderly man. There, I indulged in the best durian I've ever tasted in Malaysia, and it happened to be the cheapest one I've found :D. Amidst the orchards, amidst breathtaking vistas, I found solace and a profound connection to nature. It was then that I realized I had discovered a slice of paradise in Penang.

Oldest Church In Penang, Malaysia
#tripxplorproject
Stepping onto the sacred grounds of St. Anne's Sanctuary, I felt a blend of anticipation and reverence. The journey to this revered site was marked by a mix of excitement and solemnity, as if each step brought me closer to a place of profound significance.
As I approached the weathered chapel, its presence seemed to beckon me forward, urging me to immerse myself in its storied history and timeless spirituality. The origins of St. Anne's Sanctuary can be traced back to 1833, when Chinese and Indian migrant workers arrived from the Batu Kawan area in Penang. French missionaries from Batu Kawan came to Bukit Mertajam to minister to the Catholic families in the area, eventually leading to the establishment of the sanctuary.
Inside, the scent of incense filled the air, mingling with the soft murmur of prayers that echoed through the sacred space. Wandering through the tranquil gardens, I marveled at the statues of Passion and the graceful architecture that surrounded me. Each corner of the sanctuary seemed to hold a piece of the past, a reminder of the enduring legacy of faith that had brought me here.
Leaving St. Anne's Sanctuary, I carried with me a sense of peace and renewal, grateful for the opportunity to have experienced such a sacred place firsthand.

The Most Historic Part of Kuala Lumpur
#tripxplorproject
On a wonderful day, I visited one of the most attractive areas of Kuala Lumpur, Merdeka Square and Masjid Jamek. Generally, Kuala Lumpur is a city that never becomes repetitive for you, and even if you visit one place every day, it will be new to you because of the weather, amazing people, and a lot of spots that you could not find last days. Merdeka Square and Masjid Jamek are not exceptions.
When you walk on the street, it seems you are walking on history. I could imagine Malaysian people from 100 years ago, how they could achieve their independence, etc. The atmosphere is so friendly; a lot of tourists are taking pictures or visiting these buildings, and one of the most interesting parts of this journey is trying delicious food around these places :D.
The architecture of this area is unique and very special. Masjid Jamek was KL’s main place of worship for Muslims until the National Mosque - Masjid Negara - opened to the public in 1965. The style is a combination of Islam and ancient Moorish (originating from North Africa, as well as parts of Spain and Portugal). In most Malaysian historic structures (instead of those buildings the British or Portuguese built), you can see Islamic design elements. This area is so beautiful, and I enjoy visiting there.

HOW TO SPEND YOUR FIRST 24 HOURS IN KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA🇲🇾
itinerary summary: jalan alor is a 500-metre long food street in kuala lumpur. located in the heart of the city in bukit bintang area, it is one of the busiest food streets of the world. the old-world charm of the jam-packed street stands in sharp contrast to the rest of the modernized kuala lumpur. interesting street art works line the streets here and this location is also close to merdeka square and china town. the tapak food trucks were definitely a sight to see, an array of so much food and culture on display and i enjoyed the meals i tried out here. the bukit bintang nightlife definitely surprised me, the whole street was a cacophony of clubs and bars and people, i didn’t have as much fun at the club we decided to check out. we were told that we could’ve gone to an area called trec to experience a more fun nightlife as younger people frequent there but unfortunately we were over it and just wanted to sleep lol - day one was very wholesome if i may say and i really enjoyed taking in all the sights, it definitely made up for the chaotic journey i had coming to malaysia for the first time.

The most Haunted Place in Malaysia
#tripxplorproject
Nestled within the verdant landscapes of Penang, amidst a tapestry of palm oil plantations in Nibong Tebal, lies a silent witness to a bygone era - Caledonia House. This grand colonial mansion, with its stately columns, symmetrical balusters, and imposing porticos, stands as a testament to the opulence of its time. Constructed in the 1840s for the illustrious Ramsden family, pioneers of the sugar industry in Port Wellesley, Caledonia House exudes an air of aristocratic elegance. This architectural marvel earned its moniker, "The 99-Door Mansion," owing to its sprawling layout adorned with 10 rooms, each boasting five or six doors. However, the shadows of history cast a pall over Caledonia House, particularly during the tumultuous years of World War II. Serving as the headquarters of the Japanese army during their occupation of Malaya, the mansion bore witness to the ravages of war.
Yet, it was in the aftermath of conflict that tragedy struck. In June 1948, John St Maur Ramsden, the scion of the Ramsden dynasty, met his untimely demise within the hallowed halls of Caledonia House. The echoes of his footsteps upon the grand staircase were silenced by two fatal shots, leaving behind a veil of mystery and unanswered questions. As the years passed, the once-thriving plantation fell into disrepair, succumbing to the relentless march of time and nature's reclaiming embrace. Rumors swirled around the dilapidated mansion, weaving tales of tortured souls and otherworldly encounters, perpetuating its mystique.Today, Caledonia House stands as a haunting relic of a bygone era, its weathered facade bearing the scars of time and neglect. Despite calls for restoration, the fate of this enigmatic mansion remains uncertain,
mirroring the enigma of its elusive owner.
