Digital Arts Journey at TeamLab Planets
At the heart of Tokyo, I stumbled upon a dimension where art, technology, and emotions seamlessly intertwine: the teamLab Planets. From the moment I stepped in, it was clear that this wasn't just an exhibition but an immersive journey through the cosmos of creativity.
The digital waves, kaleidoscopic lights, and ethereal soundscape transported me into a dream, where boundaries between the tangible and imagined blurred. Each installation told a story, pulsating with life, reacting to touch, and dancing in response to movement. The art wasn't just around me; I was a part of it, my presence influencing its ebb and flow.
It's rare to find a place that challenges the senses, alters perceptions, and invites introspection, all at once. Experiencing teamLab Planets for the first time was a reminder that art is evolving, and in this evolution, it beckons us to dive deep, to interact, and to feel more profoundly than ever before. A universe in Tokyo, where wonders never cease.

hidden sanctuary in the heart of Tokyo
Immersed in the tranquil beauty of Tosoyu Park, Tokyo, the sun begins its descent, painting the sky in hues of orange, pink, and purple. A mesmerizing spectacle that never fails to take my breath away. The city's hustle and bustle fades into a gentle murmur, replaced by the serene symphony of nature at twilight.
As the golden glow filters through the trees, casting long shadows and illuminating the park in a warm, amber light, it's easy to lose track of time. Here, amidst the lush greenery and urban jungle, life slows down, and it feels like a hidden sanctuary in the heart of Tokyo.
Children’s laughter echoes as they chase each other around the playground, their joy as vibrant as the setting sun itself. Kites dancing in the cool breeze, a harmonious soundtrack of chirping birds and rustling leaves in the background, and the simple pleasure of a leisurely stroll along the park's winding paths, all make for a picture-perfect evening.
I watch as the sun dips below the horizon, the day's stories giving way to night's mysteries. The radiant sunset is a poignant reminder of the day’s end, but also a promise of a new dawn. With the cityscape in the distance starting to sparkle, Tokyo at dusk from Tosoyu Park is a sight to behold.
Sunset at Tosoyu Park – a moment of quiet reflection, a celebration of nature's beauty, a memory imprinted in my heart. Here's to the beautiful endings that promise brighter beginnings.

Friendly deer at Nara Park
Nara Park is one of my favorite park in Japan and one of the biggest municipal parks in Japan and lies in the heart of the city. Locals love to come to the park, especially to the hanami spot to view the cherry blossom in spring. I was there when winter, but it was beautiful too.
Look for the friendly deer that run freely inside the park, expecting people to feed them sembei (deer crackers).
I found many interesting historical landmarks in and around the park such as Kofukuji Temple, Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Temple and the Nara National Museum.
There is a street food near Nara Park, i tried Mochi which is uniqely and passionate made, Takoyaki, Strawberry, and many more.

Make a wish at Hokkaido-Jingu
Been to Japan several times but this was my first time in Sapporo Hokkaido prefecture. Visited the Hokkaido-Jingu shrine and it is enthralling to learn about its history and congregational culture of the area.
One of my favourite thing is the tying of of the omikuji and the Japanese architecture of the shrine. It was beautifully crafted and you may also want to get some seasonal souvenirs to bring back home for yourself of for your loved ones.
Getting to the place was easy by JR train. If going from Sapporo station it’ll only take around 15-25mins.
Make sure to stop by at the stalls along the way for some Japanese street food snacks like takoyaki, beef bbq tried it loved it, and okonomiyaki.
I believe the best time to come is during the sakura season and the golden week as it will be less crowded and you’ll enjoy numerous variety of cherry blossom they are beautiful.
Let me know your experience and thoughts about this place if you have already visit or any questions you may want to know about going to this place for the first time.

Sakura at Shinjuku Gyoen
One of my favorite place at Japan, Shinjuku Gyoen.
One of Tokyo's largest and most popular parks. Located a short walk from Shinjuku Station, the park's spacious lawns, meandering walking paths and tranquil scenery provide a relaxing escape from the busy urban center around it.
From Shinjuku Station, the Southeast Exit is the closest to Shinjuku Gyoen. It takes approximately 10 minutes on foot.
I went there at February 2023 when the wheater still winter, but i’m so lucky i got the cherry blossoms, and it was very beautiful.
Different with mostly gardens in Japan which free entry, it costs 500 yen for adult for entry #shinjukugyoen fee.#explorejapan #shinjuku #sakura

Have a bag or carrying stuffs? You can place them on the hooks below the table. Amazing atmosphere and services. Recommend this!

Make friends with an owl in this cafe!
Go to the website and make your booking now! This cafe offers the cutest and gangsterist looking owls in Tokyo! We had to be quiet and no sudden shouting or screaming is allowed as it would alarm the rest of the owls.
You can pick an owl after the “briefing” or let the owl choose you. Our’s did. His name is Cowboy. Such a cute baby owl who is turning into his teenage phase i think. Tried to fly away from me even. Haha.
It was definitely an eye opener. They do keep the owls well-fed and give them breaks in between. They even offer a printed photo of you and your owls at the end of your journey.

Magical Theme park to Visit!
The happiest place on Earth? It is definitely one of the places to visit! We took a break in between as it starts ro pour but once we came back, the queue got ALOT shorter and we realized that if you want to avoid the crowd, come when its about to close!
Prepare to wear proper footwear and bring a poncho along as there’s alot of walking and waiting and the poncho is for those wet rides (if its not raining). We were seated at the front for splash mountain and got drenched but we were prepared!

Engage your senses with this interactive arts
I recommend you to come here in the early morning or at the end of the operating hours. Coming here at 11 got me shocked to meet many patrons and this also goes to show that there will be PLENTY of people hoarding the areas.
Yes you are able to take photos but to get a perfect clean shot? It’s abit impossible in my opinion. Is it worth going? I’d say yes but only off peak. So choose your timing wisely.
Prepare to get your feet wet, your eyes in trance and your body experiencing hot and cold weather lol.

Wake up to Mount Fuji with this hotel!
Fancy waking up to the view of Mount Fuji in the morning? Well, this hotel offers a great view! But only if you’re ok with the interior being outdated!
Despite the old design and minimal amenities, this hotel is affordable compared to others around. It is also a quick drive to the lake kawaguchi that often holds an event which we were lucky to go too!
The parking lot is also facing the mount fuji. It’s really a spectacular view to wake up too!

A unique stay in Kamakura
Despite having an issue checking in to this place, this is honestly a beautiful stay. Decided to stay near the beach but the beach ended up looking so murky (lol). This high-tech place is so high-tech, we had issues with the bath/shower - even after google translating it!
The minimalist and clean interior really got me lit up after an unpleasant settlement with Trip but, we managed to make it work. We tried to convince them to allow us to park just right outside but they decline us so we had to park about 5 mins away from this.
Take note that this is an AIRBNB housing so no proper check-in (like those hotel). Make sure someone EMAIL/INFORMED you about the house code before coming here if not, you will be lost and calling the hotel won’t help cos they spoke in japanese.
But honestly, beautiful house.

Halal Ramen and Gyoza you can’t missed!
KNOW THE SYSTEM - Order via the machine (money in first then press your choice!). After which, pass the ticket stubs to the waiter/waitress and they will show you to your seats.
I had the spicy ramen and gyoza and booms! Sedap siak! Haha. and and and the waiter offered to give us apron as we were both wearing white! How kind is that! Extra points for him being cute 😍
Husband ordered something off menu as he wanted A5 Wagyu with rice (instead of ramen noodles). Initially, he was hesitant to offer but after broken english, he said he can do it at a different price. And husband approved of it!

Rabbit Island
Japan also have rabbit island where there are many 'wild' rabbit which goes around without anyone supervising. Villagers here take turn to feed and care for the rabbits.
I love Japan islandside where everyone is so friendly and warm. They didn't treat me as tourist but like their own people. Although communicating with them is quite difficult but it doesn't matter because they do understand by gesture. Japanese people are very observant in reading people's gesture. They are more expressive than the rest of Asian people.
While exploring and get tired, try out their dessert served by cart in a car. It's so cute that they also put rabbit biscuit as decoration. 😋
Worth to try and explore, in every season.
