Hiking Penang Hill is one of the best things to do while in Penang. The trail is easy to navigate and you will be greet by fresh air with stunning scenery. I have encountered a few friendly hill dogs, dusty leaf monkeys and all kinds of tropical fruits along the trail. I encourage everyone to do this when in Penang. Bring a hiking shoe, a bottle of water, fresh cloth to change, and a mosquito spray if needed.😁 One of the most prominent and major trekking activity with Forest walking and Nature Lush Surroundings of fresh air. Coffee on a Clift!

This café and restaurant was a hidden gem for me during my visit to Phuket, is just by a Clift near the Karon beach and is better to go there driving or by scooter 🛵 The place has a massive selection of areas in where to sit, from near the top, to almost the sea level, so some stairs might be need to use to explore it all. It is a loop trial with no uphill mostly in desert setting. Hiking In Grand Canyon South Rim

#gohiking Grand Canyon South Rim is the ideal choice for a first visit to the Grand Canyon because it offers the most expansive views and the easiest scenic trail. I did the Rim Trial as it the easiest trail with almost no elevation change and with breathtaking views of the canyon from above. It is also because one of the shuttle routes runs along this trail, and several shuttle stops are located at different points along the Rim Trail . The Trail start from the Grand Canyon village and ends at Hermit Rest, but you can begin and end it at any of the shuttle stops. You can also hike the trail all the way to Hermits Rest, then get back to the trailhead by the shuttle bus. This trail is highly recommended for everyone given it level of difficulty is low .

Moongate 5 Penang 👣🍃

Definitely one of the best hiking spot in Penang island. Plenty of parking spaces available from walking distance to the entrance point. There are a few stops before reaching Penang hill. 👣 The trail is well maintained and easy to navigate and follow but at some points it's a bit confusing so it's better to get info before moving or you might end up at different hill. Its a steep climb when you are near the top. You can enjoy jungle and view of Penang and sea on your way. The total time was about 3 hours and the hike is about intermediate level. We went at a fairly relaxed pace and stopped every now and then to take photos. Most of the track is either flat or at a slight incline. Hidden Quarry in Singapore

Unless you live in Tampines or you’re very observant, you’ll probably miss this hidden quarry. Opposite the famous Bedok Reservoir Park, the Tampines Quarry is one of the last “untouched” quarry left in mainland Singapore. To get here, drive/walk to Tampines Industrial Avenue 1. The quarry is fenced up but there are still areas that you can access the quarry. Be warned that there are no proper footpaths so just be careful. The untouched and tranquility of the quarry is with the unpaved paths. If you’re a bird watcher, you can also spot many different types of birds in the quarry. This is one literally off the beaten track that is worth a visit if you’re in the area! #gohiking

Perfect Weather to Hike Here

Located along Yishun Avenue 1, I have driven by this park many times over the years but have never stopped to visit this park. I finally decided to visit this park when I was in the area and i was not disappointed. The first thing one would notice is the long heritage bridge. There are boards explaining the history of the reservoir and it is well worth a read. The views and scenery along the bridge and at the end of the bridge was also quite stunning. After visiting the bridge, can continue walking along the reservoir and you’ll see a water play area for children. There is also a water sports centre where you can rent a kayak to kayak in the reservoir. And towards the end of the park, there is a fishing deck where you can either choose to fish or watch what people are fishing. All in all, a short but scenic hike in one of the lesser visited reservoir parks in Singapore. #gohiking

#gohiking What better way to spend the weekend than having a date with nature. Go hiking and take on a challenging climb up the mighty Osmeña Peak in Dalaguete, Cebu. Appreciate the beauty of nature, bathe in the mighty sun for more doses of Vitamin D. There are guides to help you out in your adventure as you take the trail. It’s not just for climbing enthusiasts. Newbies like me can still take on this kind of activity and you’ll surely want to come back for more. There are 4 other trails which you can also take. Not sure if this was the hardest but probably one of the best. I recommend this for a weekend getaway. Be sure to wear your best footwear as the trail can be slippery. You need to get a good grip on the ground.

I must say hiking around the property is both fun and will give you a little sweat. The huge strawberry plantation can be a massive area for you to walk around. I have one trivia for those who do are not so familiar about this farm. Do you know what SSS means? Interestingly, it stands for: Seven Successful Siblings. Yes, literally, siblings, related by blood and it will give you a hint that it is owned by a family and run by themselves as well. Over the years, the farm was a success and they have been so active with charity works too. How cool is that?

Located East of Java Island, Mount Bromo is sitting within the area of the volcano, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, at 2,392 meters tall. The main attraction for the visitor is seeing the sunrise, which is usually around 5 am. Visitors stay overnight at the accommodation around the mountain village and are expected to leave at 3.30 am to catch the sunrise. Take a Hike Up Khao Yai National Park

Khao Yai is known to many as a place with many themed attractions and hotels. But we sometimes forget that it is a National Park after all in a mountainous region. While in Khao Yai, we took the opportunity to do a hike around some areas of the National Park. The park is huge, incredibly stunning and a wonderful place to immerse yourself in nature. Since we had our own car, it was easy to get to the main entrance. From there we explore the many trails leading to scenic viewpoints and hidden waterfalls. It is also a popular spot to spot animals, however that wasn’t easy and we only saw some sambar deers and monkeys. Overall it was very fun day! Some tips: - Do wear protective coverings as leeches are everywhere - Bring lots of mosquito repellent - Bring food and water as there are not many options once in the National Park - Get a local tour guide #gohiking

Bukit Lalah in Kampong Lugu

#gohiking Quite the challenging trail! Steep inclines and slopes (hang on to the ropes!). The afternoon activity lasted for almost three hours covering a distance of 2.64km through jungle trails. Clean and well-maintained jungle- maybe a bit too open for my liking. Top up your sunscreen and bring plenty of water. #brunei #hiking

It takes around 2+ hours to complete the trail (depending on your fitness level). Enjoy hiking through the site with stony paths, rock cliffs, wooden steps and views of the city, mountains, sky, and sea.

Kurama temple hike

#gohiking starts from kurama station, hike starts from the bottom entrance of the temple up to the temple, where you can pray and knock on the hanging metal bell. it was considered an easy trail by the locals. the hike is about 400m upwards, took about half hour as the slopes are no joke. there were many tourist visiting this place/temple along the mountain. expect a lot of stairs and upslope towards the temple. bring water, stay safe! we saw deers on the mountain near the temple as well. how cute!

Kibune hike

#gohiking Kibune hike starts at the picturesque town and ends at the kurama temple. if you want a more challenging climb, start from kibune small town. the upslope are steeper and not as well structure stairs, bring walking sticks as that will help. it will take about 2-3h for a 2-3km hike, I will rate is as moderate for beginners as the stairs are really steep for prolonged period. there are railings along the way but you cannot really rely on them all the way as well. saw few walking groups, it is generally safe to hike as the police/community has identify certain spots as k1 k2 k3 in case you need to call for emergency help halfway. bring water and not food in case of bears.

Fushimi Inari pilgrimage hike

#gohiking location: near fushimi inari jr station The route begins behind the shrine’s main buildings and goes up along the slope towards Mount Inari. you begin from the shrine before walking up the mountains. gets to enjoy the view of the most famous tori gate of Kyoto: fushimi inari. Despite the numerous stairs up you felt less tired seeing the red tori gates. it’s such a unique sight. hike is considered easy, proper stairs provided.
