Suyun Village: Hospitality at Its Finest!
🤩 Our group of friends recently had an unforgettable stay at the Suyun Village Hotel in Jiuquan, Gansu.
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm and welcoming hospitality of the staff and owner. The owner, an artist with a deep knowledge of local and cultural history, made us feel right at home with his delicious tea and wonderful conversations. He went over and above to make us feel welcome and relaxed, and we were so impressed that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night!
🏨 The hotel itself is a peaceful haven with beautifully decorated rooms that are both spacious and comfortable. The furnishings are new, and the rooms are impeccably clean. We were amazed at how many different areas there were to relax, both inside and outside the hotel. We loved sitting in the sun and reading a book while enjoying the serene surroundings. The decor throughout the hotel is stunning, with historical artifacts and cozy places to warm up by the fire.
🥢 The food at the hotel was also fantastic, with plentiful portions of delicious hot pot and other local dishes. We were delighted to have the hotel to go back to and have some delicious hot pot for dinner to warm up during the cold weather. If you're planning a visit to the area or want to see the Jiayuguan Pass or the most western point of the Great Wall of China, this hotel is conveniently located within easy driving distance.
Overall, our stay at the Suyun Village Hotel was easily the best hotel stay we've had in China. The staff and owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and we felt truly at home during our stay. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would happily return in a heartbeat. The Suyun Village Hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we cannot wait to visit again.

Must Try Mutton Curry Nasi Lemak
Surprise find at a house turned mamak stall at Taman Zooview, 20 mins drive from downtown Kuala Lumpur. Very popular location for locals to have their favorite breakfast. No parking space, cars are lining by the side of the highway.
Highlight of this place is its mutton curry nasi lemak. The mutton is well cooked, very soft and flavorful but without the gamey taste. Curry is well balanced, not too spicy. The rice has enough coconut milk scent and taste, just a bit too wet (probably too popular, not enough time to cook and cool). A must have.

#createwithtrip to Lake Kawaguchiko should include an afternoon stroll along the lake at Nagasaki Park.
This lesser known spot is accessible via the shuttle bus around the lake, you should stop at either Sunnide Resort or after Shuhoukaku Kogetsu.
This is a rather flat path, you can get a fabulous view of Mount Fuji on a clear day and along the park, you can see some nice but empty summer homes facing Mount Fuji.
There are some Sakura trees too if you are there during April for a beautiful pink pathway with Mount Fuji in the background.
Location - Oishi, Fujikawaguchiko, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi 401-0305, Japan

Lovely Tranquil Torii of Peace, Hakone
#createwithtrip to visit a tranquil and beautiful location. To get there, either take the lake Ashi Pirate Ship cruise from Togendai-ko to Hakone macho-ko or Hakone Tozan Bus directly to Hakone machi-ko. This shrine is a 10 mins walk from the pier/bus station. A gentle slope plus some steps.
Normally on weekends or public holidays, expect a crowd and everyone will patiently queue for they turn to take photos. During my trip, there 2 big group of tourists who were trying to take multiple angles and repeated shots of the same angle with different poses 🤦🏻♂️ not nice, finally the whole queue voiced their dissatisfaction as there is no temple staff to keep the queue moving. Thus, please be nice, keep your turn brisk, while you queue, think of the angles and poses first.
