Unlimited Fish, Meat, Chicken Pot, Grilled Fish, and Hotpot Feast
For the Labor Day holiday, if you're not traveling abroad, find a good restaurant for a meal! Following a colleague's recommendation, I came to the Tsim Sha Tsui branch of Er Guo Tou to enjoy their unlimited time offer on fish, meat, grilled fish, chicken pot, and hotpot buffet!
The self-service area has a variety of canned drinks, vegetables, fish balls, and ice cream bars, all for the taking.
This set allows you to eat as much as you want of Er Guo Tou's signature pots, including the flavorful chicken pot, rich black pepper pig's trotters pot, and flaming oxtail pot. We chose the oxtail pot!
For an additional $58, you can drink red and white wine as well as sparkling wine! Drinking wine with oxtail is one of life's pleasures!
When the oxtail pot is served, it's drizzled with rose dew, which smells amazing! The secret sauce is unbeatable, and the oxtail is cooked to perfection, making it an excellent dish to accompany rice! If it weren't for the desire to also try the grilled fish and side stove, I would definitely encore another pot!
For the grilled fish, we chose the spicy soup base. Once the big pot is brought to the table and starts boiling, it's ready to eat! We picked sea bass, which has a firm texture but is still tender and smooth, and importantly, it has few bones, so every bite is full of meat! The two of us enjoyed eating grilled fish and drinking wine to ease the spiciness, which was very satisfying!
After finishing the fish, we were about 70% full, but since it's all-you-can-eat, of course, we had to try the side stove!
First of all, the yin-yang pot doesn't cost extra, which is really rare!! Most restaurants outside charge extra for a yin-yang pot.
One side is pepper pig's stomach chicken, and the other is Sichuan pepper spicy duck blood. The soup base is rich and flavorful, not disappointing at all. I didn't need to order soy sauce.
The hotpot ingredients come in small portions, so you can order a little of each. Must-try meats include beef shank, lamb, pork, and fresh beef. Additionally, scallops, pig intestines, crispy grass carp belly, baby squid, clams, and fresh shrimp are all worth trying.
We also ordered several snacks, such as spicy fish skin, snail meat, spicy chicken feet, etc., all of which were quite good! The vegetables were fresh, and it was great to drink wine while enjoying the hotpot, very relaxing and delicious, with the key point being unlimited time to eat! For just over 300 Hong Kong dollars, I couldn't have been more satisfied even if I went back to Shenzhen.
Finally, with a full belly, we finished with ice cream, daifuku, and cream puffs, which left us super full. This all-you-can-eat deal is really cost-effective and worth it, especially for group gatherings where there's no need to rush and everyone can leave satisfied!

Many people enjoy the feeling of looking down from a high place at the streets, pedestrians, buildings, and vehicles below, where everything seems so tiny and distant. It's actually quite interesting and therapeutic.
Having a meal with a beautiful view and appreciating the scenery makes the experience even more perfect. Recently, I discovered a restaurant in Wan Chai that not only offers a beautiful view but also serves high-quality food, so I took the opportunity during my younger brother's school holiday to enjoy it.
The restaurant's environment is very luxurious, and there's a live band at night, which should create a great atmosphere. Located on the 30th floor, the restaurant offers a panoramic view of Causeway Bay. For those who like dining outdoors, there's also a rooftop area and a party room (with a minimum spend). It's suitable for different diners, whether you want to chat and drink with friends, enjoy a meal with family, or have a romantic dinner with your significant other accompanied by music, enhancing the relationship. The service is also very attentive and thoughtful.
The restaurant also offers lunch, including soup, bread, a main course, and a drink. You can also add a variety of snacks to your meal, which is a great value.

The soup of the day was pumpkin soup, which had a very rich pumpkin flavor and an attractive presentation. The bread was very crispy.

Beef lovers should not miss this Wagyu tri-tip with mashed potatoes. The price is a great value, and the black truffle mashed potatoes are super tasty. The beef is tender, and the broccoli adds a beautiful color to the dish.

Just the name of the dish is very appealing. Black truffle, caviar, and scallops are ingredients we really like. The cooking method is very suitable for summer, as it's more appetizing. The scallops are not overcooked; they are obviously sashimi-grade, and the black truffle complements the angel hair pasta well, while the caviar elevates the dish to another level.

The chef's selected desserts that come with the meal are already very delicious. There are three flavors, and although the portions are not large, they are very satisfying. (Chestnut walnut mousse cake/Caramel apple cake/Belgian crispy chocolate mousse cake)

Half & Half Fried Chicken comes in two different flavors: this time I chose garlic honey and onion sauce. The skin is fried to a crispy perfection, and the flavors of garlic and honey are perfectly blended, creating a unique taste. The onion sauce fried chicken is even more flavorful, with the sweetness of the onions complementing the tender chicken, making you want to keep eating one piece after another.
Roast Beef with Pasta features tender and juicy Korean-style roast beef perfectly paired with the al dente pasta. The sauce is slightly spicy, leaving a memorable taste.
Sweet Corn Bingsu is visually appealing, with the sweetness of corn and the coolness of shaved ice complementing each other. The addition of roasted corn adds a hint of smokiness, creating a rich texture.
Sweet Corn Cake has a soft and fluffy texture, with the sweetness of corn perfectly blending with the cake, offering a lingering corn fragrance with every bite.
Cherry Blossom Latte with Croissant and Cherry Blossom Marshmallow Bubble are two limited-edition specialty drinks. The former intertwines the floral scent of cherry blossoms with the richness of coffee, paired with a crispy croissant, while the latter is rich in milk flavor with the sweetness of marshmallows, both offering a perfect match in taste with just the right amount of sweetness.

Today, I came to this bar restaurant in Wan Chai. Located on the 30th floor, the restaurant overlooks the Happy Valley Racecourse, offering a fantastic view, and if you time it right, there's even a band show to enjoy.
We tried several dishes:
1. Classic Crab and Lobster Soup:
The soup base is rich in flavor, with a thick and creamy texture. The taste of lobster and crab meat is well-matched and very enjoyable to drink.
2. Thai Crab Cakes:
The exterior is fried to a crispy golden brown, and biting into it reveals a generous amount of crab meat. The crab is fresh and juicy, and with Thai spices and seasoning, the flavor is even richer. The texture is crispy and chewy, making it incredibly satisfying! The Thai spicy sauce adds a wild kick.
3. Thai-style 'Gold Not Exchange' Stir-fried Oysters:
The oysters are large and fresh, stir-fried with Thai sauce to just the right flavor, maintaining the oysters' freshness and texture. The oyster meat is smooth and juicy, and with the sour and spicy Thai sauce, it's very appetizing.
4. Spicy Clam Pasta with White Wine Sauce:
The pasta is cooked al dente, and the clams are large and sweet. The white wine sauce has a slight spiciness and fragrance, enriching the flavor and leaving a satisfying aftertaste.
5. Slow-cooked Spanish Pork Ribs with Apple Sauce:
The pork ribs are tender and juicy from slow cooking, with minimal excess fat. The meat juices are perfectly preserved, and the ribs are finished with a sear, giving them a barbecued flavor. Paired with apple sauce, the sweet and sour taste of the sauce perfectly complements the pork, creating a rich and delicious flavor.
Overall, the restaurant's food quality is very high, and the ambiance is comfortable and romantic, making it a great spot for dates or gatherings with close friends.

Always bustling with people, this Chinese restaurant is a favorite among the locals, and it truly offers some pleasant surprises. We visited for lunch on the weekend and were lucky to have made a reservation in advance; otherwise, we would have had to wait in line. In addition to stir-fried noodles and rice dishes, they also serve a variety of dim sum.
