Kyoto Travel is Truly Worth It!❗3 Days and 2 Nights Itinerary
If you're planning a second trip to Japan, Kyoto is a must-visit city!
🗺 Itinerary:
3 days is ideal to explore Kyoto thoroughly.
Day 1⃣: Experience Kimono (9:00) — Kiyomizu-dera — Ninen-zaka/Sannen-zaka — Gion — Hanamikoji — Return Kimono at 17:30 — Yasaka Shrine for Night View (These places are close, feel free to adjust based on your preferences)
Day 2⃣: Morning: Fushimi Inari Taisha (Direct JR/Hankyu Line)
Afternoon: Kinkaku-ji / Picnic by the Kamo River
Evening: Relax and wait for sunset along the Kamo River (Navigate to Sanjo Station, the most beautiful section of the Kamo River is there) Night: Nishiki Market / Dinner near the Kamo River
Day 3⃣: Option 1: Kifune Shrine — Ryoan-ji — Sanzen-in
Option 2: Arashiyama (Both routes are quite far, dedicate a whole day, choose one)
🚇 Transportation:
Other Cities to Kyoto: Recommend taking JR, fast and cheaper than Shinkansen
Local Transportation in Kyoto: Two types of one-day passes available (details on p15)
Suggest buying the 700 yen bus one-day pass, especially useful for Day 1's route. Be cautious about the 1100 yen subway + bus pass; JR and Hankyu lines are not covered, and it doesn't work for Fushimi Inari Taisha!! Stick to the red and green subway lines.
🏨 Accommodation: Recommend staying near Kyoto JR Station for convenience. You can walk to the hotel as soon as you arrive in Kyoto, avoiding the hassle of dragging luggage around. Most Japanese hotels allow check-in only after 15:00, so drop your luggage and start exploring beforehand.#週末遊 #境外遊 #京都 #京都 #京都特色 #旅行攻略 #日本旅行攻略
