Low budget Sydney itinerary
#JanuaryGoodPlaces2025
This time I came to Australia with some friends. We chose some affordable and beautiful attractions, and spent the rest of the time walking around the city. In order to save money, most of the dinners are cooked by ourselves. If you plan to go to Sydney in the future but don’t have a lot of budget, you are welcome to refer to our itinerary. Australia is very beautiful with cloudless skies, but the sun is very strong, so remember to wear enough sunscreen!

【Recommended hotels】
Sydney: Meriton Suites Waterloo
- Duplex
- The bedrooms are on the upper and lower floors, each with a toilet
- Very large space
- Close to supermarkets, hotel guests can cook
【Tips】
Queen Victoria Building: A historic and iconic shopping mall, perfect for checking in and taking photos.
Chinatown: A Chinese settlement, where prices are relatively high.
Whale watching: Take a boat to the center of the sea to watch whales. Whether you can see whales depends entirely on luck. We managed to see dolphins and whales that day, but the whales were far away and difficult to see clearly.
Taronga Zoo: The zoo is very large and you can spend a whole day there.
Luna Park: This park is not very big, but it has all the necessary rides. Admission is free, which makes it a great place to check in.
Blue Mountains National Park: Since the journey is quite far, we booked a day tour. It has the world's steepest cable car - the Scenic Railway.
Australian Fish Market: It is recommended to go in the morning as the fish will be fresher.
University of Sydney: The University of Sydney is beautiful and there are many photo hotspots inside.
PS: Due to the Australian legislation, it is now difficult to hug a koala. You can only touch the koala and take photos. 🐨
