The Grand Pacific Hotel is just that :'GRAND'. You can sit by the pool taking in the beautiful scenery across the Suva Bay and have an afternoon tea party on the beautiful balcony while admiring the flowers. Theres a Bula Bar , Function Rooms that can host entire formal occasions and luxurious guest rooms. Holiday Inn hotel is just right outside on the edge of town- close enough to be near all the various shops and malls but also far enough to be away from all the town noise and traffic etc!! it’s the perfect location if you want peace and convenience in Suva. We ordered a 12-inch four cheese pizza and it was amazing!! the prices are not too bad, and with all the cheeses and fillings on the pizza, youre full within only a few bites🤩 We also got some chai latte; it tasted SO GOOD that we just had to ask for a second round- it’s literally so yum. #pizza #food #afternoon #pool #hotel #fiji

Grand Pacific hotel has an amazing range of cakes and cheesecakes for only $10 a piece!! You can grab a slice from the bakery in the front and walk over to the back and look for a table by the poolside to sit and enjoy your desert with a beautiful view of everything and nice breeze. A bunch of us went fishing along the seawall in Suva, and the cool thing is it’s right in the middle of town but in a nice secluded area where it’s private enough to sit and fish peacefully but also is in a path where just enough people walk by, making it feel safe. It was my first time ever going fishing and I managed to catch my first fish which was so exciting!!! Although it was the only fish I caught in about a whole hour of sitting there, the actual act of fishing was so relaxing and peaceful- good for my mental. I highly recommend fishing at this spot behind Thurston garden because it’s safe, it’s comfortable, has good breeze, and you get to meet a lot of great people who pass by as you fish. This location is also really convenient because it’s close to the shops and to the main road. And as you can see, all you’ll need is a hook, line, bait and any old bottle to get your fishing game on🤩 #fishing #passingtime #relaxing

Location of this place is so awesome! Just like 15 minutes away from Suva itself. Really easy and relatively cheap to reach it with taxi or local cars. Roads are in good condition, but do NOT think you can walk through the paths without getting your shoes muddy and wet. Rains are very often in here. There is a lot of a small waterfalls and beatiful creeks to take pictures and selfies. Mostly bigger waterfalls are crowded with locals and also mostly teenagers. swimming also totally nice and relaxing. please take care of your belongingwhile swim. It might disappear sometimes 😄. Our local friend also told us to hire a guide for walkthrough, so that those teens could't rob us on our way. I am not sure but most of the local were nice and kind. Arriving from Sydney on a direct flight from Fiji Airlines, you knew you had set foot in Fiji when you saw a large swath of land filled with tropical woods! The Fijian people are very tall and strong and very enthusiastic, they often say they live in “Fijian time” and live a slow life😌😌😌 Along the way, you can see a lot of their customs, casual stalls, local markets full of exotic fruit varieties, huge flower baskets, and cool big buses that drive and play Hawaiian-style music😆😆 We also visited the Fiji Museum, let's say the museum, but it's actually very small inside, and the furnishings are not as complete as in advanced countries. There are locals who will approach you saying that they will take you to genuine Fiji manufactured items so beware the shops they will take you to are in away areas from crowds that didn’t feel safe. I was travelling on a cruise ship and a couple on our cruise paid $150 USD for a day trip. They were driven to the other side of the island and told that they would be left there unless they paid USD. $500 to get back to the ship. Really unpleasant environment that I would avoid.

We booked a boat tour via Tokoriki Island resort to Monuriki. It took about 20 min ride and somewhat tough water. It's fairly popular spot... so expecting to see other visitors. Our tour guide took us on a short hike to Albert Rock. He also demonstrated how to crack open a coconut. The water is warm and pretty clear. There are really nice reefs, many tropical and colorful fishes and corals. Tips: Bring fresh water. Bug sprays if you are planning to hike. Water shoes (plenty of sharp rocks and corals) Waterproof camera or gopro (our waterproof case did not work). The reef is amazing! The waves are very strong and can be rough! Don't leave anything behind, please.

#hellohalloween #museums The museum is located in the Thurstan Gardens an experience in themselves. We walked from the Cruise port about 35 minutes on a good road. Tourist admission was $20 Fijien or less than $10 US. The extensive displays are on two levels. Immediately upon entry you have a historic restored catamaran sailing vessel used to populate the islands. Various sections of the museum focus on the Polynesian discoverers, European colonization, Indian Indentured labour and current day Independence. There are many excellent displays with short English descriptions. Well worth a visit and excellent value. Enjoy the joining gardens.
