Be prepared to see some buildings in disrepair, abandoned, or boarded up. However, many are still in good condition and worth a look. This place is on the opposite bank of the Volga River, within the Samarskaya Luka National Park. There, you can climb a couple of low hills and enjoy the views. There's also the Repin Museum, where he painted the famous "Barge Haulers on the Volga." I would say that Samara can easily compete with Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan, cities I dearly love. The restoration of one of the most intriguing and unique Art Nouveau buildings in Samara—the summer house of the merchant Konstantin Golovkin—has recently been completed. The owner actually designed it himself, which is why it turned out so extraordinarily distinctive. In front of the house, you'll find sculptures of elephants—animals that have never lived in this region. The porch is guarded by a nymph surrounded by flowers. The dacha is perched on the high bank of the Volga River, making it a perfect spot in the summer to watch boats, yachts, and barges sail by. Inside, there is a small museum dedicated to the owner's life. Konstantin Golovkin was the very first person in Samara to own a car back in the early 20th century, and you can see a model of that vehicle in the first exhibition hall. Veterok Tourist Base #Food: The exterior of the establishment is a C-, but the number of customers convinced me to stay and give it a chance. As soon as I tried their food, all doubts disappeared! It was truly delicious, and the prices were affordable. We devoured the shrimp before we even had a chance to take a photo. I'm quite picky and often visit restaurants, cafes, and pubs in different cities and countries, and the food here was among the best. So, if you're in Samara, I definitely recommend it! ✨ The photo shows a salad with pulled pork and fried capelin. The salad is rich, and all the ingredients come together perfectly. The fish is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and topped with caviar.

When visiting Samara, be sure to stroll through the old town. Once you've had your fill and get hungry, be sure to stop by the Veterok Turbaza bar on Kuibyshev Street. They have delicious, inexpensive food and excellent, world-class Samara beer. The menu isn't extensive, BUT you can definitely get a full stomach. Small in area, but a separate house for the Ryazanov family in the center of Samara. The museum is not very filled with something entertaining for a tourist, because it contains elements of utensils of that era, as it happens, not necessarily used by the owner's family. But I like how the interior elements are made / restored! For such a price, it is worth the time spent, being caught in the rain 😄 Compatriots will like it.

It seems that every Russian city has one of the most important squares. In Samara, the honorary monument is such a presence. On the other side of the square is the Samara City Government Building. The entire square is also a huge cemetery, commemorating the Russian soldiers who died in the war. A huge soldier's head burned in front of the usual fire. Next to the square is the Cathedral of St. George, built to commemorate the heroes of the Patriotic War.
