Wat Khiriwong and Nakhon Sawan City Hall are located on a hill in the city of Nakhon Sawan. Inside the temple are the Ubosot, a replica of Phra Phuttha Khodom, Sala Phutthanuphap, Wihan Luang Pho To, and Phra Chulamani Chedi, which is considered another important place of worship in the province. Pay homage to Phra Chulamani, the sacred great chedi of Nakhon Sawan. You can walk around inside this large chedi, which has 4 floors. The first floor is where incense and candles are lit for worship. The second floor has life-size statues of famous monks from all over Thailand, including Somdej Phra Phutthachan (To Phrommarangsi), Luang Pu Thuad of Wat Chang Hai, and Luang Pho Sot of Wat Pak Nam. The last floor is the fourth floor, which is a panoramic viewpoint of Nakhon Sawan. On a clear day with good weather, you can see Khao Kop, Bueng Boraphet, and Pak Nam Pho Market to the east. To the south, you can see Suan Sawan Park, Nakhon Sawan City Hall, and Khao Chom Khiri Nak Phrot. Turning to the west, you will see mountains, large and small, towering overlapping like a city wall. Speaking specifically of Wat Khiriwong, where this great pagoda is located, this temple is considered the center for the propagation of Buddhism in Nakhon Sawan Province under the patronage of the Department of Religious Affairs. It is also the location of the Educational Park, the Center for the Development of the Mind in Honor of His Majesty the King, and the first meditation center of the province.
