Golden Buddah at Wat Huay Mongkol
Getting There - it is easy to reach with the motorbike or car from Hua Hin within 30min. The roads are very new and it is easy to find. It is easy to find a free parking space. From the parking area it is a 2 min wak to the Wat Hiay Mongkul and a 20min walk to the Golden Buddah along a beatiful lake. I recommend to drive there to safe your energy and to go all the way up
Attractions - The main attraction is the Wat Huay Mongkul bit i personally prefer the Golden Biddah which is hidden behind it.
Hotels - there are a lot of nice hotels in Hua Hin
Food & Restaurants - nice local restaurants #passionpassport #staycation #gooutside
Shopping - there is no shopping area

Wat Huay Mongkol
A Buddhist temple in Thap Tai, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110.
Parklike Buddhist temple known for its enormous statue of storied monk Luang Pu Thuat. It has become a pilgrimage place for Thai people.
Luang Phor Thuad, whose name is sometimes spelled Luang Phor Thuat, lived some 400 years ago in Southern Thailand. He is now famous all over the country for the miracles that he performed. It was said that Luang Phor Thuad turned salt water into fresh, drinkable water on multiple occasions.

Wat Huay Mongkol@Bangkok
Location - 132 Punnawithi 20, Bang Chak, Phra Khanong, Bangkok Thailand PC:10260
Getting There - If you are traveling from Hua Hin, do book a car or share with others would be cheaper.
Attractions - Also known as Dhammamongkol Temple, this site is on of the famous place to visit while in Hua Hin. Once entered to the sacred site, visitors will be able to see the largest Buddhist monk statue called “Luang Phor Thuad” who is very well known in Southern Thailand for converting sea water into fresh one by foot. Besides, there are 2 huge wooden 3-headed elephants on both sides in front of the majestic statue(the locals usually walked in circle below the belly of the elephant for 3 times wishing for good fortune). Could give it a try😄.

Wat Huay Mongkol Most famous monk in Thailand
This is one of the best attractions to explore when you are in Hua Hin. It is very popular among thai tourists. If you want to go there during quite times i recommend you to go early in the morning. behind the statue there is a little pond where you can walk along and on the other side of the lake there is a big golden statue. We went there around 5pm and it was beatiful watching the sunset there. It is nice to walk around the area filled with trees and houses.#passionpassport #staycation #gooutside #beachlife Before I forget entrance and parking is free and there a re a lot of shops where you can get food and drinks

sacred place!
its one of the most famous temples in Hua Hin, apparently this is one of the famous monks in Thailand, lots of local tourists coming here to pray. really beautiful surrounding, if you walk a bit further, there is a pound then you will see this magnificent Buddhist temple. in the first glance, you wouldn’t notice there is another Buddhist temple behind, but there is a way behind mongkol.
there are some small temples nearby, as well as snack shops and places to rest! overall, this is a great place to visit in Hua Hin, And there is one restaurant nearby where we had pad Thai and other traditional Thai food.
it was a great day trip :)#staycation #temple#buddhism #passionpassport #gooutside
