Holy water old shoe factory transformed block, similar to Beijing 798, art architecture + many shops, many coffee shops, now Korean young people like to go. Some international brands often open pop-up stores here. The current pop-ups are Dior and Burberry.

Scone cafe near Seoul City Hall, Paramanjan
#seoul
In this cafe beside Koreana Hotel there lies this cafe called Paramanjan who specializes in scone making. The coffee is also nice and the Cafe Latte is also very smooth in texture. The layout of the cafe is very simple but cozy and comfortable, and while sipping coffee you can smell the scent of freshly baked scone as they always release batches of scones from the oven. There is even a souvenir corner for those who would like to collect their goods.

Stepping into a piece of history
Seoul City Hall is a historic landmark dating from the Japanese colonial period. It has been preserved as a remainder of that darker historic period but also as a testament of Seoul and Korea's resilience and presrverance.
Entry to the old city hall is free and actually there's a functional library inside. On the upper levels you'll find preserved rooms and details on their functions and history. It's quite interesting and informative and you can easily spend an entire afternoon roaming through its many rooms and floors.
On the rooftop there's a lovely garden with very nice views of the city. There are seats there so you can definitely relax and admire the city from atop.

Secret Rooftop in the heart of Seoul ♥
When traveling to Seoul and visiting this spot, you can feel like you're right in the middle of the city, isn't the prettiest place but is where you can have this feeling.
If you get into the city library, go to the last floor and there a beautiful garden, take a look at the pictures and enjoy it ☀
Getting There - across the street from the city hall station
Attractions - gorgeous plaza, Deoksugung, library, city activities
Hotels - The Plaza, Marriott, you're in the city center, can find any type of accommodation
Food & Restaurants - not far from this spot there are several coffee shops, there's a Blue bottle coffee shop nearby
Shopping - some shopping malls around, but also a lot of souvenirs

Seoul City Hall
Seoul City Hall - A governmental building for the Seoul Metropolitan Government in South Korea.
It is located in Taepyeongno, Jung-gu, at the very heart of Seoul. It is connected to City Hall Station (Seoul) on Seoul Subway Line 1, with access to Seoul Subway Line 2 from the same station.
The new building stands out architecturally, and the old city hall building is located in front of the new building. Now the old building is Seoul Metropolitan Library, and Seoul Plaza.
There is a small museum downstairs I wanted to checkout and I was not disappointed at all. An old lady welcomed me with a big smile on her face in the museum and told me about the history of the city and the old and new city hall buildings. When I asked her how much should I pay she said that it is free as she is a volunteer.
I highly recommend this place to visit!!

หมู่บ้านบุกชอนฮันอก (Bukchon Hanok Village)
I simply love this area and I was here many times already. I cannot recommend to come here on the weekend or during public holiday.
But please keep in mind that asian Cities are crowded sometimes. That's the way it is. If there is a beautiful spot you will never be the only person who will find it.
You can of course avoid the crowds. The best time for a relaxed visit will be weekdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
You can stroll around in small alleys with cute boutiques, 3rd wave coffeeshops, restaurants and korean teashops like a branch of the famous Osuloc teahouse.
What you also find here:
>> Gyeongbokgung Palace
>> The National Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art is really worth a visit.
>> Insadong: That's another popular area located just across the main street.

พระราชวังชังกย็องกุง (Changgyeonggung Palace)
very beautiful palace even though it has very sad history. when it was colonization, Japanese changed the use of this palace. from a palace to a zoo&botanic garden. most of palaces were destroyed and demolished but this palace still has very beautiful appearance.
A beautiful place and a palace. It was the second palace I visited in Seoul. On a large terrain you can forget that you are in the center of the city. I also recommend the entrance with a guide to the Secret Garden.

(DDP) Dongdaemoon Design Plaza
This place is magical. It is a must see if you enjoy architecture or even art. The curves and shapes are amazing. I went at sunset so I got light shapes and then the night lights. If it's in question go see it you won't be disappointed. Fabulous place to be around and enjoy your time. If you are in Seoul, it takes a day to just explore around this place.
Design plaza is a great place to sit around and enjoy your time with great restaurants around and good shopping place as well.

The Kimchi Festival is an annual festival held in Seoul where citizens and visitors can participate together in Kimjang (the process of making kimchi) that traditionally marked the preparations for receiving the cold winter in Korea. At the end of the festival participants share the kimchi they prepared with meat, drinks and snacks, making it perfect for understanding korean culture and traditions. Tip: if visiting Seoul at the end of October you can sign up to this activity.

Barbecue lamb at Yukmigotgan
#2024wish
Lamb based delicacy is rare in Korea, but due to the recent surge in demand, you can see more and more lamb based delicacies popping up. This shop called Yukmigotgan specializes in barbecue lamb chops, and all meat are served fresh. There are many parts that can be chosen from, such as the ribs, shank, leg etc, and you can also choose from a series of set meal from the menu. Seasonings provided are chilli flakes, salt and pepper etc. The taste is excellent and you can also choose from a range of wine available in the shop, or bring your own wine with a cocerage. It is indeed a very nice dining experience.
I wish to travel to Shanghai in year 2024.

I stayed at the new Seoul hotel. the hotel is in a great location. it is central to many tourist attractions and not only is the airport shuttle down the street, many buses and metro entrances are within a 5 minute walk. the hotel is a bit dark. not an awful lot of natural light. the water pressure in the shower was extremely low. aside from that, the stay was in a convenient location #seoul #myeongdong
