Fruits here are quite expensive, displayed very delicately, and taste very good. Asakusa Temple Visit: Continuous great luck, full of desserts!

A few days ago, I embarked on a small journey to Asakusa Temple. 🏞️ Asakusa Temple, this historic temple, always makes people feel peaceful and harmonious. As soon as I entered the temple, I was attracted by the simple atmosphere, as if time had slowed down. ⛩️ During the worship, I got great luck twice in a row! Good omens are continuous, is it particularly destined with Asakusa Temple? 😊 Every time I get great luck, it makes me feel that this trip is full of mysterious little happiness. Of course, the fun of travel is not only about worship. In the small alley near Asakusa Temple, I found a small dessert shop. The desserts there are really delicious to explode! 😋 A bite down, the sweet happiness spread in the mouth, it really makes people feel extremely satisfied and happy. This trip to Asakusa Temple is really full of gains. Not only did I get great luck, but I also tasted delicious desserts. I hope I can continue this wonderful fate with Asakusa Temple next time.

Japan Travels: Sensō-ji, Asakusa Tokyo

One of the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo and a famous visiting spot for locals / tourists. It’s iconic for its huge lantern known as Kaminarimon at the front of the street entrance into the temple, it’s difficult not to miss it and also the three lanterns gate also known as Hozomon Gate after walking past the entrance. After passing through the gates, we walked into Nakamise-dori Street which is packed with local vendors for food, merchandises and traditional goods. It’s famous for its variety of snacks and we saw some stalls selling face masks. We walked around and further in, noticing a good spot where we can see the Tokyo Skytree tower. The Sensoji temple is located at the end of the long street path, we finally reached and witness its magnificent sight at its finest. The temple was beautiful and holy, we toss a coin and give our prayers. We also spotted a tall pagoda building at the side too. After visiting the temple sites, we walked to Denboin Garden where it’s located nearby the Sensoji temple. It’s a beautiful garden with a nice relaxing scenery to enjoy the mother nature of Japan. Sensoji is a Buddhist temple, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Tokyo. What I love most about this temple is the huge wall that surrounds it. Visitors who stop by Sensoji Temple enter from Kaminarimon, or Thunder Gate, which separates Sensoji Temple from Tokyo. A street that will greet you directly beyond the outer walls of the shrine is known as Nakamise, lined with small shops selling all kinds of traditional goods and souvenirs. This shopping area has existed within the temple grounds for centuries, and has played an important role in sustaining culture in Sensoji. Famous traditional Japanese snacks are sold here. Senso-ji Temple

Senso-ji Temple is very popular among locals and tourists, one of the Tokyo’s best-visited attraction. You can also buy delicious Japanese street food in Senso-ji Temple. The deep fried mochi was really good! Super long queue but fast service. The architecture in the temple is very beautiful and serene, especially in autumn when the leaves of the trees turn red. I saw a few people dressed up in traditional Japanese costumes for a photoshoot. Remember to take a picture with the gigantic red lantern which can easily be seen once you enter the "Thunder Gate". It’s free entrance. You may spend 100 yen (S$1) for a fortune stick to see your luck in coming year. Asakusa Street eats.

The surrounding small streets around Senso ji temple, Asakusa, Tokyo is filled with small restaurants and street food. The choices are truly mind boggling and everything looks delicious. It is very easy to spend half a day in this area visiting Senso ji temple; the Main Street with all the small souvenir and snack shops leading to the temple, and all the side streets around the temple with filled with restaurants, cafes, street food stores and small local shops. Don Quixote also has a store here where you can find all sorts of things from food, to cigarettes. Bring your passport to get duty free prices. The Asahi building is also nearby, as is Tokyo Skytree.

#meettokyo Tokyo's oldest temple, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple) is a Buddhist temple located in Asakusa. Awesome place to go see. A must go destination in Tokyo. A long shopping street leading to the temple is nice for photos or souvenirs. I was amazed on my first visit the temple by the great structure and traditional design. It is a touristy place. Night visit at Sensoji, Asakusa

Being the oldest temple in Tokyo, Sensoji is well known to many regardless of locals or foreigners alike and many who visited Tokyo will flock to this temple to for visitation. Constructed in A.D. 645, it is crowned to be the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. The gate of Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) is the main symbolic artifact which tells the visitor that they have entered the temple. Walking down 200m of shopping street Nakamise, visitors will be led to the main hall as well as Asakusa Shrine built by Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1649. Various important events were also held but the biggest one is Sanja Matsuri held in May. New Years Day is also vibrant as visitors will flock to Asakusa temple to pay their first visit on the year. According to legend, in 628 CE, two brothers discovered a small statue of the goddess in the Sumida River, which miraculously returned to them each time the idol was submerged. The magnificent Kaminarimon, or Thunder Gate, guards the approach to Kinry-Zan Sens-Ji, its most distinguishing feature being a massive paper lantern painted in red and black to resemble a storm cloud. Beyond this is the Nakamise, a colorful path lined with stalls selling crafts and snacks. The temple is a magnificent sight in itself; its main hall is a grand spectacle replete with intricate details, and large paper lanterns strung from the ceiling are held up by towering columns. The shrine, set alongside a five-tiered pagoda, is a vibrant place of worship and one of the city's most well-known.
