If I were to recommend regular Thai tourist spots and islands to netizens today, no one would pay attention to me. But what I’m going to talk about today is Thailand’s niche boutique leisure travel destination ~ Chanthaburi. This is an original ecological tourist destination that even many locals in Thailand have never been to, but those who have been say it is worth experiencing.
Chanthaburi is located in the east of Thailand, close to the Thai-Cambodian border, about 245 kilometers away from the capital Bangkok. Chanthaburi is known as the "Gem Capital" because of its abundance of pure sapphires and rubies. Of course, in addition to gems, there are many attractions that make you unforgettable. If you are interested, come with me to see what is worth remembering about Chanthaburi for two days and one night~
one day：
1️⃣Depart from Bangkok city at 8:30 in the morning, drive for 3 hours to Chanthaburi Seaside, and enjoy an open-air lunch by the seaside at Ao Kung Wiman Area. Then have a relaxing afternoon tea while listening to the sound of the waves. Personally recommend coffee cove, it has style and scenery.
2️⃣Drive 5 minutes to Chaloem Burapha Chonlathit Road on the seaside, stroll along the quiet country road and feel the beauty of nature.
There is a Noen Nang Phaya observation deck here, which offers a view of the turquoise sea, whose sparkling water reflects the sun.
This is also the place to enjoy the most beautiful scenery on Chaloem Burapha Chonlathit Road. A winding two-lane road that slopes parallel to the coast.

3️⃣Go to Ban Hua Laem Chedi at 3pm, which is an ancient pagoda on the sea with a history of more than 200 years. for fishermen
The spiritual pillar built. Because fishing was a dangerous occupation in the past, this pagoda was built to ensure the safety of every ship. (Punch in, take pictures and pray for 40 minutes)
4️⃣Chantaburi has many temples and is one of the important religious and cultural areas in Thailand. At 4 pm, go to Wat Paknam Khaem Nu, which is a temple decorated with blue ceramics, referred to as the "Blue Temple". Inside the temple, there are four wooden doors decorated with low reliefs commemorating the history of the Buddha. On the exterior of the temple, the doors and windows are decorated with inlays representing gatekeeper angels. The photos are very photogenic, and the pretty girls love them so much.
⌚️At 5pm we will visit Khuk Khi Kai (French Chicken Shit Prison) and Tuek Daeng Historical Site (French Army Command Historical Site) to learn about the sad suffering of prisons under colonial rule during that period.
⌚️Have dinner with the sunset and experience the atmosphere of the locals’ old and new night markets. Then check into the comfortable Rimnaam Klangchan Hotel in Chanthaburi and take a dip in the pool.
two days:
1️⃣Sleep until you wake up naturally, experience and inspect the Chantabun community and the authentic gem market, and integrate into the leisure and work life of the locals.
2️⃣Visit the French cathedral built in 1909 and admire the Virgin Mary inlaid with 230,000 blue diamonds💎, it is very spectacular!
Of course, you can’t miss the local seafood noodles for lunch, it’s so delicious 😋
