Qingdao! A budget hotel worth a second visit!! So nice to stay in!!
Jiaozhou Marriott Hotel: A unique charm with both advantages and disadvantages
As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, my stay at Jiaozhou Marriott Hotel was quite a rich experience.
The hotel arranged a suite for me. Although it was a small suite and the space was a bit cramped, the layout was neat and the facilities were complete. The room was equipped with electric curtains, adding a touch of convenience and modernity. There was also a delivery robot that delivered food directly to the floor, which was smart and thoughtful. As for the amenities, there was not only capsule coffee, which was a pleasant surprise, but also other Marriott standard amenities, such as the herbal bath series and Kleenex toilet paper.
The Executive Lounge is open from 12:30 pm to 9 pm, offering a variety of soft drinks during normal business hours, such as three flavors of Watsons soda, 7-Up, Pepsi, apple juice, etc. Afternoon tea is available from 2 pm to 4 pm, with fruits, cookies, and small cakes. Happy Hour (HH) is from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with dishes including stir-fried mussels, stir-fried pork liver, stir-fried seasonal vegetables, and boiled pork slices, etc. The chocolate cake is very good. It is worth mentioning that the takeout options near the hotel are limited, and the food here is enough to fill you up. In addition, there are also alcoholic beverages such as Tsingtao beer, red wine, and white wine.
The gym equipment is brand new and not very popular, so sometimes you can even enjoy the whole place to yourself. However, they provide Bama Platinum Spring water, while the room has Pure Water, which is a bit strange.
Breakfast is served on the first floor, and although there are some highlights in terms of variety, such as a wide variety of bread, a wide selection of noodles, beef soup, lamb soup, and squid balls that I saw for the first time, there are also some shortcomings, such as the lack of bacon, which is common in hotels, no small cakes, and the wontons taste like frozen products. The overall quality is slightly inferior to that of Marriott's five-star hotels.
The hotel's doorman service is commendable, as they are always ready to help open and close the car door and trunk and enthusiastically guide you, whether you are checking in or leaving.
Although there were some disappointments during my stay at Jiaozhou Marriott Hotel, I was not too disappointed because I had learned about the hotel through various channels beforehand and lowered my expectations, so it was a unique Marriott experience.
