Baoji East Lake Park.
East Lake Park is located in Fengxiang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It was known as "Yinfeng Pond" in ancient times and has a history of over 940 years. East Lake is a city park that combines natural beauty with rich historical and cultural heritage. The park covers an area of about 20 hectares, with a water surface of 12 hectares and more than 30 ancient buildings.
The famous writer Su Shi served as the signing officer of Fengxiang Prefecture. In the seventh year of Jiayou (1062), he advocated for the dredging and expansion of the pond by officials and citizens, introducing water from the Phoenix Spring in the northwest of the city, planting lotuses and willows, building pavilions and bridges, and constructing buildings and pavilions.
Due to the distant view of East Lake in Fengxiang and West Lake in Hangzhou, East Lake and West Lake are known as "sister lakes." This reputation stems from Su Shi's inspiration from West Lake in Hangzhou during the construction of East Lake. A poem says, "East Lake temporarily lets West Lake be beautiful, but West Lake knows that East Lake came first."
East Lake Park not only boasts unique natural landscapes but also rich cultural landscapes, making it an excellent place to explore the footprints of Mr. Su Shi, experience historical and cultural heritage, and appreciate natural beauty.

| Known as the "Sister Lake" of West Lake. Fengxiang East Lake is located in the eastern part of Fengxiang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. The scenic area was advocated and expanded by Su Dongpo, a Northern Song Dynasty writer, when he served as the judge of Fengxiang Prefecture. East Lake covers an area of nearly 200,000 square meters, with a water area of over 80,000 square meters, forming the pattern of inner and outer lakes. The lake is home to ancient buildings such as Xiyan Pavilion, Junzi Pavilion, Chunfeng Pavilion, and Yuanyang Pavilion, as well as landscapes such as villas, nurseries, and lotus ponds.

Celebrities Ancient Trees East Lake Willows
❤Recommended Reason: According to historical records, in the sixth year of Jiayou during the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty (1061), Su Shi served as the signing officer of Fengxiang Prefecture. The following year, Su Shi dredged East Lake and planted lotuses and willows. Now, when visiting East Lake, you can see a stone tablet on the southwest side of Bu Xi Zhou, inscribed with 'Dongpo's Willow Planting Place,' which is said to be the site where Su Shi planted willows. Although the willows planted by Su Shi no longer exist, the 'East Lake Willows' have since become a famous story.
👍Most Recommended: Willows, also known as drought willows, river willows, and red-barked willows. The green willows of East Lake in Fengxiang provide ample shade, with swaying shadows. Among the ancient willows, the most famous are the willows planted by Zuo Zongtang and Lin Zexu.
✅Must Experience: The Zuo Gong Willow in East Lake grows beside the Junzi Pavilion in the park. It is 210 years old, 15 meters tall, with a trunk circumference of 275 centimeters, and a crown spread of 13 meters. During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, at the age of 65, Zuo Zongtang led an expedition to recover Xinjiang, and upon his triumphant return, he passed through Fengxiang Prefecture and planted several willows in East Lake, in line with the phrase 'newly planted willows for three thousand miles.' Only this tree remains today, making it the only surviving Zuo Gong Willow in Shaanxi.
✅Must Experience: The willow planted by Lin Zexu grows on East Lake's Ring Road in the park. It is 150 years old, 13 meters tall, with a trunk circumference of 250 centimeters, and a crown spread of 8 meters. In the 22nd year of Daoguang (1842), under pressure from Britain, the Qing government exiled the hero Lin Zexu, who had destroyed opium at Humen, to Yili in Xinjiang. On his way to Yili, Lin Zexu personally planted several willows in East Lake. Through the mists of history, only one remains standing by the shore, with a sturdy and vigorous trunk, full of the vicissitudes of time, and its new branches seem to demonstrate an indomitable spirit of resistance.

The Elder Sister of Hangzhou's West Lake—Fengxiang East Lake
✅✅ East Lake temporarily concedes beauty to West Lake, but West Lake acknowledges East Lake's precedence 💯💯💯
✅✅ One of Fengxiang's three marvels—East Lake Willows 🌲🌲🌲
♻️♻️ Fengxiang East Lake, historically known as Drinking Phoenix Pond, is located in Fengxiang County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It is said that in the first year of King Wen of Zhou, a phoenix flew over Yong and drank water here, hence the name 🕊️🕊️🕊️
✅✅ During his tenure as an official in Fengxiang, the great literary figure of the Northern Song Dynasty, Su Shi, advocated the expansion of Drinking Phoenix Pond. He planted willows, cultivated lotuses, built pavilions, repaired bridges, and erected towers, thus creating a beautiful landscape 🏞️🏞️🏞️ The scenic beauty of East Lake also inspired Su Shi's creativity, leaving behind timeless masterpieces such as 'Inscription on the Pavilion of Welcome Rain', 'Inscription on Lingxu Pavilion', and 'Inscription on Fengming Post' 📜📜📜 The East Lake Willows, along with Xifeng Liquor and the hands of the maidens, are known as the three marvels of Fengxiang 👍👍👍 Twenty years later, Su Shi was transferred to Hangzhou and restored the West Lake. The two lakes, looking at each other from the south and the north, became sister lakes. Due to the rising fame of West Lake, people often heard of West Lake but not East Lake, hence the saying 'East Lake temporarily concedes beauty to West Lake, but West Lake acknowledges East Lake's precedence' 🌁🌁🌁

I remember when I was young, I loved to play with mud. At that time, after the rainy day, I found a piece of mud, divided the line with a knife, and played a game with a small knife. Later, I went to school and liked to play with plasticine. At that time, I could squeeze out a lot of cute little animals with plasticine. As I grew older, I would no longer play the very muddy game of "mud" because I still got it every time. Dirty. But when you think that the mud is dirty and worthless, in Fengxiang, Shaanxi, the villagers here have dug out the mud, they can squeeze out the image of many Chinese mascots and sell them to the "mud goods". Abroad, the world is well-known, and the craft of kneading mud has been selected into the national intangible cultural heritage list. In Liuying Village, Fengxiang, Shaanxi, I saw a variety of beautifully crafted clay sculptures. I was also fortunate to have met the intangible cultural heritage of Fengxiang clay sculpture and felt the charm of folk art.
