Guangdong Dongguan Botanical Garden | Spring has no direction, it only blooms.
Dongguan Botanical Garden is located at No. 99, Greens Road, Nancheng District, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, with a total area of about 420 hectares and a planned area of 200.5 hectares. It faces north to Dongguan CBD, west to Shuilian Reservoir, east to Tongshe Ecological Park, and south to Shuilian Mountain Forest Park and Modern Agriculture Science and Technology Park. Connected by regional greenways, it forms the ecological lung of the core area of Dongguan City.
1️⃣First stop: Lingbo Bridge
Dongguan Botanical Garden surprisingly has such a modern bridge, spanning over Mirror Lake, reflecting in the lake, like six zeros (00000) arranged in order. The depth of the bridge extending from the bottom is worth exploring, and taking a photo with the sparkling lake water on the stairs is also amazing.
2️⃣Second stop: Sequoia National Park
At this time, everyone should be attracted by the bald cypress on the other side of the lake. Hurry up and take a set of winter love songs.~
3️⃣Third stop: Small theater + suspension bridge
Everyone passes through the Children's Botanical Garden and comes to the "Famous Trees and Flowers Garden". There is a small theater here that looks a lot like the Roman Colosseum. There are also many suspension bridges here, great for taking photos~
4️⃣Fourth stop: Love Tree
The Love Tree is located in the European Plateau Garden, similar to the Love Tree at the Macau Science Center. You can also take photos of windmills and European-style building stairs.
5️⃣Fifth stop: Da Caopo
You can wait for the sunset on the big grass slope, where the afterglow penetrates through the trees, casting beautiful shadows for you to capture.

Captured the same heart-shaped tree as in Macau in Dongguan!
I wonder how many people went to Macau for the Love Tree? The Love Tree at the entrance of the Macau Science Museum is a popular online sensation~
It has even been hiding in my bookmarks for a long time (ready to go at any time).
I never expected to find the "Macau-style Love Tree" while looking for Metasequoia in Dongguan Botanical Garden!
This tree is located at the end of an uphill section near the windmill in Dongguan Botanical Garden. It can be easily photographed from a low angle without obstruction, showing the love tree and the blue sky, giving a pure and fairy-tale-like feeling.
This is near the "European Plateau Garden". The landscaping here is very European, with windmills, fountains, and stairs.
It feels great to take wedding photos too~

Autumn in Dongguan: A must-see!
Dongguan Botanical Garden is like a natural wonderland in the city, where you can find peace and beauty amid the hustle and bustle. When you step into the botanical garden, the green scenery unfolds like a painting. "Green bamboo leads to a secluded path, and green vines brush against your clothes." It's like walking into a green dream world. The kapok trees in Dongguan Botanical Garden are stunningly beautiful. The kapok trees in Dongguan are now in full bloom, with pink flowers everywhere like a dream world. The bald cypress trees have also turned yellow and red, entering the best viewing period. The autumn atmosphere is amazing, especially when the sun shines, making the trees glow and the lake look like an oil painting. It's like being in a huge natural oxygen bar. This is not only a kingdom of plants but also a paradise for birds. Rare birds such as egrets and kingfishers inhabit here, where humans and nature coexist harmoniously, and the ecological wonders are breathtaking.

The Dongguan Botanical Garden is really a place you can't get enough of. Taking a walk and looking at the large lawns and lakes inside can really be relaxing. There are many plants and flowers, and it's very photogenic.
The place is really big, and you can take photos wherever you walk. There is an introduction to the park at the entrance, which you can take a look at.
The park currently has 15 specialized botanical areas (Rock Garden, Litchi Garden, Botanical Evolution Science Popularization Garden, Orchid Garden, Shade Plant Garden, Herbal Garden, Dongxiang Garden, Famous Trees and Flowers Garden, Azalea Garden, Australian Plant Area, Psammophyte Area, Sui Azalea Garden, Colorful Foliage Plant Garden, Rubber Culture Garden, Camellia Garden), as well as attractions such as Children's Playground, Big Grass Slope, Huafang Garden, Cherry Blossom Garden, China-Malaysia Friendship Garden, Hundred Flowers Valley, and Plateau Flower Garden.

Recommended is the China-Malaysia Friendship Garden (located within the Famous Trees and Flowers Garden) with its Southeast Asian style architecture. I also had my wedding photos taken here.
Outfit: Personally, I think wearing forest-style or brightly colored clothes is more photogenic. You can carry a straw bag, hat, etc.

Dongguan Spring Flower Viewing Map
I must say, the most worthwhile place to enjoy the flowers in Dongguan during spring is the Dongguan Botanical Garden, and I suppose there's no disagreement. As someone from out of town, my first visit was quite the revelation.
👉 Free Flower Viewing
Unexpectedly, such a large botanical garden is free of charge, which is one of the surprises.
👉 Extensive Area for Flower Appreciation
Several areas are highly recommended in spring:
🌼: Orchid Garden, with many varieties, is also an area that broadens one's horizons, and the Dendrobium is quite interesting.
🌼: Psammophyte Area, this is quite interesting; psammophytes are plants like cacti that grow in sandy soil.
🌼: Famous Trees and Flowers Garden: As the name suggests, take a look at those precious plants.
🌼: Azalea Garden, the azaleas are in full bloom now, right next to the Children's Playground.
🌼: Peacock and Heart shapes, both located in the southern part of the botanical garden.
👉 Great Spot for Camping
Recommended at the far end of the north gate, to the west of the Acanthaceae plant area, there's a large lawn which feels quite nice, right next to Jing Lake.

Dongguan Greenhouse 'Wonderland': The orchid garden in the botanical garden is breathtakingly beautiful!
Dongguan actually has such a wonderland!!! 😍😍
Hidden in the Dongguan Botanical Garden is a small orchid garden. Although the indoor space is not large, every corner is as beautiful as a painting, making people feel as if they are in a fairyland! 🌸🌸
The plants here are all grown with the help of air conditioning. Even in the hot summer, people can feel a bit of coolness while admiring the beautiful scenery. It's so comfortable! 😊😊
The orchid garden of Dongguan Botanical Garden is a good place where people linger and forget to return. I strongly recommend everyone to find time to explore it. I believe you will definitely fall in love with this 'fairyland' like place! 🤩🤩
