Come check out another hidden gem in Shangri-La
Visit the panoramic spot of Dukezong Ancient Town for a punch card
Wandering around, I stumbled upon this secluded spot
It's located on the hill behind Dukezong Ancient Town
Also the place in Shangri-La with the most prayer flags
You have to climb a bit of a hill
About 100 meters, but it's quite tiring
The temple is small, with very few tourists
From there, you can overlook the entire Dukezong Ancient Town
Many prayer flags make it a great spot for taking photos in Tibetan costumes.
🌟The origin of Baiji Temple:
Since the temple was built, whenever there are disasters, the local people would come to the temple to pray and make vows to avert misfortune, often releasing a chicken as a form of 'life release' on the mountain. During the incense offering, it's common for people to scatter feed, resulting in flocks of domestic chickens inside and outside the temple, hence the name Baiji Temple.
🎫Ticket:
Free
About an hour is enough for a visit.
📍Location:
Navigate to Baiji Temple
It's on the hill behind the Indigo Hotel
Walk 100 meters uphill from the Indigo Hotel, on the right side there is a staircase leading up the slope, then go forward another 30 meters and on the left side walk through a sky bridge filled with small prayer wheels, continue straight for 200 meters
(You can drive there, just a hundred meters or so).
❤️ps:
You can hang prayer flags and light incense at the top
There are really a lot of chickens around the temple
It is said that there are no toilets on top (because there is one toilet for the use of 2 monks)
If you like exploring off-the-beaten-path spots in Shangri-La, you can take a stroll here

Shangri-La | Baiji Temple
Against the wind as if understanding the purpose, earn more Renminbi.
When the fifth day of the Lunar New Year coincides with Valentine's Day, don't enter the marriage shop, you might end up kneeling in the temple of the God of Wealth unable to stand up.
During the New Year, the ancient town is crowded everywhere, but Baiji Temple is mostly visited by locals. I went there in the afternoon, and there were really few people.
If you just arrived that day, it's not recommended to climb, as it's easy to suffer from altitude sickness. It's better to rest and go the next day.
📍Location: Search for 'Baiji Temple' in your navigation and just follow it. You can drive to the mountainside, but it's not recommended to drive up, as it's particularly steep. If your driving skills or car are average, you won't make it.
From the top, you can overlook the entire scenery of the ancient town. There are large patches of prayer flags at the midway pavilion.
Additionally, I saw the white pagoda on the opposite Wufeng Mountain, and I plan to climb it today.

Shangri-La | Smooth and healthy Baiji Temple for blessings
Yunnan is really worth a visit
Shangri-La is also super beautiful
Although there will be altitude sickness and lack of oxygen, there will never be a lack of faith here
I was really healed by the scenery~
Baiji Temple is recommended for check-in, it is said to be particularly effective, but it requires climbing, you can overlook the entire Shangri-La city scenery~

Shangri-La | Since you're here, you might as well be a Zoma for a day
As soon as I arrived in Shangri-La, I couldn't wait to ask the Shangri-La Jinwushe Oxygen Homestay if the boss had any Tibetan costume shops to recommend. I rented the clothes and did my own makeup. The shop owner added a bit of blush for me.
I took some photos in the ancient city, then went to Baiji Temple. There are many prayer flags on the way to the top of the mountain, which are very photogenic.
After all, I've had 5 Tibetan costume experiences, and in the end, I still think the simple ones are the most sophisticated.
I didn't hire a photographer for this, I just used a tripod and my phone to take the photos.
