Though it can seem overwhelming with so much to see, Bukhara’s charm lies in its well-preserved beauty and cultural depth. If you're visiting for the first time, here's what you absolutely shouldn’t miss: - The Ark of Bukhara A fortress filled with fascinating history, once home to Bukhara’s rulers. - Kalyan Minaret and Mosque The heart of the city, with incredible tile work and a peaceful vibe. The Minaret by night is stunning 🤩 - Lyabi Hauz A charming spot in front of the Mosque to relax by the water, surrounded by history. - Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa (Summer Palace) The luxurious palace of the last emirs, a glimpse into royal life with serene gardens. Under the theme "Prescription for a Broken Soul," it brought together more than 200 artists from 39 countries. The ancient city on the Silk Road was instantly illuminated by contemporary art. Although I couldn't fully grasp the meaning of contemporary art, I experienced a more modern Uzbekistan and heard a more rebellious expression of this civilization, touching on AI, humanity, and futurism.

I recommend visiting after 4 PM, when the light slants across the glazed tiles, making each geometric pattern glow. 2️⃣ Statue of Nasreddin Hodja: The people of Bukhara insist that the witty Nasreddin was born here! By the pool in the old city stands a bronze statue of him riding his donkey, his mustache perked up. Locals passing by touch the donkey's head for good luck, and I secretly tried it too—after all, who couldn't use a bit of humorous good fortune? 3️⃣ Chor Minor Madrasah: Its Uzbek name, "Chor Minor," literally translates to "four towers."
