Pingyuan travel guide and discussion

🏔️ I thought Hanging Temple was already amazing, but only after visiting Mianshan in Jiexiu did I realize what a "fairy residence on the cliff" really means. 🏯 Ancient temples stand suspended all over the mountain, with a bottomless abyss beneath your feet and layers of halls above your head, the experience is absolutely breathtaking! 💰 Latest ticket information 🎫 Ticket + scenic shuttle bus = 160 RMB (ticket about 110 RMB/person, sightseeing bus 50 RMB is a must-buy, the scenic area is huge, you’ll really cry if you don’t take the bus) 🚡 Internal transport: Daluo Palace elevator 5 RMB, Zhengguo Temple elevator 15 RMB (choose as needed, recommended to ride to save energy and see the highlights) 🚗 Best way to get there? 🚄 High-speed rail: Take it to Lingshi East Station (note: not Jiexiu East), then taxi 30-40 RMB, 20 minutes straight to the scenic area visitor center, much closer than Jiexiu Station! 🚙 Self-driving: Navigate to "Mianshan Scenic Area Visitor Center," easy to find after highway exit 🗺️ One-day tour highlights 🚌 Take the scenic area bus directly to the innermost Shuitaogou, then work your way back: 1️⃣ Shuitaogou: Break your stereotypes about Shanxi! Streams and waterfalls all along, walk deep into the Water Curtain Cave, so cool you won’t want to leave, limited energy? Halfway is enough 2️⃣ Qixian Valley: Outdoor lovers rejoice! Suspended stairs + iron chain bridge, rushing water below, if you’re afraid of heights, don’t look down 3️⃣ Zhengguo Temple: The most stunning place on the mountain! Houses over 10 mummified Buddha statues from the Tang dynasty onward (real preserved bodies), uncorrupted for a thousand years, the solemn atmosphere inside gives you goosebumps, this is the true "treasure of the mountain" 4️⃣ Yunfeng Temple: The Belly Rock is so big it could hold 200 halls, the "Z"-shaped sky ladder at the entrance is hung with red lanterns, perfect for photos, be sure to climb and hang a blessing bell 5️⃣ Daluo Palace: Save the best for last! The evening light is soft, 13 layers of halls stacked, take the elevator up to overlook the Jinzhong Plain, the view is worth it! ⚠️ Tips to avoid pitfalls 🍜 Food: Expensive and average on the mountain, recommend bringing self-heating meals + bottled water + snacks, wouldn’t it be better to save money for ice pops? 👟 Shoes: At least 20,000 steps total, non-slip sports shoes are essential 🚫 Beware: If someone in the scenic area offers you a "free sachet" or tries to tell your fortune, just wave them off and walk away, or you might end up "donating" money unexpectedly

Most attractions require walking, so be sure to wear comfortable sneakers. 3. Snacks and water inside scenic areas are expensive, so you may want to bring your own. 4. There are mosquitoes in the lakeside wetlands in autumn, so carry mosquito repellent. 5. Purchase tickets online in advance to save time queuing, and check performance schedules before you go.

Pipa Bay Park | A Cultural and Leisurely Park in Pingyuan Ancient City, a Bay of Pipa Water 🏞️ Pipa Bay Park is located in the center of Pingyuan County, Dezhou City, and is a national 2A-level scenic spot. It is named for its waterway's shape resembling a pipa (a Chinese lute), and the sound of dripping water from the ancient wells that sounds like strings. The park adopts a layout of "one bay, two rings, four areas, and eight scenic spots," integrating ancient sites such as the Jiachuan Stone Bridge, Longmen Tower, and the Sanbu Liangyan Well with the lakeside gardens. The lakeside pavilions are scattered throughout, offering opportunities for historical photo opportunities, lakeside walks, and family leisure. A visit of about 2 hours is recommended. **Must-Visit Attractions** ✨ Pipa-Themed Sculpture Plaza 🎵 The main plaza at the south entrance features a pipa-shaped sculpture, a landmark photo spot in the park. The plaza is spacious, adjacent to the lake, and provides a perfect first stop for photos. It's also a popular area for locals to relax in the mornings and evenings. Longmen Tower 🏯 The park's core is an antique-style pavilion, a reconstruction of the Longmen Tower of Pingyuan Ancient City, situated on a high point by the lake. Climbing the tower offers panoramic views of the entire Pipa Bay lake, with pavilions, long bridges, and clear waters all within sight. It's the highest point in the park and a prime spot for taking photos in a traditional Chinese style. Jiachuan Stone Bridge📜 This single-arch ancient stone bridge, dating back to the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, is a precious historical site within the park. The original inscription "Jiachuan Daifa" is preserved on the bridge, witnessing the history of the ancient waterway on the plain. The ancient and weathered stone bears witness to centuries of history, making it a core location for cultural reflection. Three Steps, Two Wells The ruins of an ancient well beside the old official road are associated with the folk legend of the Pipa Princess. The two wells are very close together, with sweet water. Legend has it that when the well water drips, the sound is like the playing of a pipa (a Chinese lute), making it the most story-filled photo spot in the park. Zhang Liang's Bigu Bridge This antique-style stone bridge is built based on legends related to Zhang Liang. Spanning the lake and surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a stunning waterside view. Lakeside Walking Path and Lakeside Pavilion 🌊 A well-constructed walking path encircles the lake, connecting multiple waterfront platforms and a lakeside pavilion. The expansive water reflects the pavilions beautifully, and in spring and summer, lotus leaves bloom, while flowers and trees along the banks alternate in bloom, making it perfect for leisurely strolls and pausing to admire the lake views. Musical Fountain Area The lakeside fountains operate on weekend and holiday evenings, with water jets and changing lights creating a mesmerizing reflection on the lake, resulting in a vibrant nighttime atmosphere—a popular spot for local nighttime activities and photos. Recommended Itinerary South Gate Square Pipa Sculpture → Jiachuan Stone Bridge → Three Steps Two Eyes Well → Zhang Liang Bigu Bridge → Longmen Tower for panoramic views → Lakeside Walking Path → Lakeside Pavilion for rest → Musical Fountain Viewing Area. This route follows the lake's contours, allowing you to see historical sites, lake views, and pavilions in sequence, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience. Best Time to Visit & Attire Guide The park can be visited year-round, but spring and autumn offer the best experience with comfortable weather and lush vegetation. In summer, it's recommended to enter in the evening to avoid the sun and wait for the illuminated fountain. At night, the ancient buildings are illuminated, creating a tranquil and elegant lake view. Simple and casual attire is recommended. Modern Chinese or traditional Chinese style clothing paired with the ancient bridges and pavilions will produce excellent photos. The lakeside walking path is quite long, so wear comfortable flat shoes. It can be windy by the lake in the evening, so bring a light jacket. Practical Travel Tips📌 1. The park is open to the public free of charge all day, and parking is also free. 2. The musical fountain only operates at set times on holidays and weekend evenings. Please check on-site announcements before your visit. 3. The ancient bridges and wells are historical relics; touching the inscriptions and climbing on the ancient sites are prohibited. Please respect the cultural relics. 4. The waterfront platforms and lakeside walkways are adjacent to the water. Parents should supervise children at all times and keep them away from deep water areas. 5. There are many mosquitoes on the lakeside trail; bring mosquito repellent during the summer. 6. The park is located in the center of Pingyuan County and can be combined with the Three Kingdoms Culture Square to create a day trip to Pingyuan. A bay of clear water shaped like a pipa (a Chinese lute), with ancient bridges and wells holding legends of the old town. Pipa Bay integrates the historical sites of the ancient town of Pingyuan with the northern lakeside garden. During the day, stroll to explore the historical sites and quietly appreciate the pavilions and waterscapes; at night, wait for the illuminated fountain and experience the ancient charm of the small town. It is a great place for leisure and nostalgia in the county of Lubei.

School is about to start, so before heading back, I grabbed one last meal with my high school bestie. We chose this BBQ spot we've both been wanting to try for a while. The vibe in the restaurant is perfect for a bestie date—soft lighting and great music. We picked a corner table and chatted while we ate, catching up on everything from funny high school memories to college life and our hopes for the new semester. Time flew by. I have to give a shout-out to the grilling service! We were too busy talking, but the staff grilled everything perfectly and even thoughtfully served it onto our plates. We ordered the thick-cut Suwon king steak. The meat had a subtle fruity aroma, and paired with the secret sauce, every bite was so satisfying. Suddenly, I felt that even though we'll be apart when school starts, having such a warm meal to say goodbye is actually pretty nice❤️

Hidden south of Xi'an lies a treasure unknown to most. This World Heritage site surprisingly doesn't charge an entrance fee—isn't that amazing? Despite its prestigious name, it's surprisingly quiet, with few visitors. You can hear the leaves falling. What makes it so special? It's Xingjiao Temple in Duqu Town, Chang'an District. Twenty kilometers from the city, a half-hour bus ride away, the temple sits on a high, imposing cliff overlooking Shaoling Plain. This temple boasts a remarkable history; it's the ancestral temple of the Faxiang School of Buddhism and was the foremost of the "Eight Great Temples of Fanchuan" during the Tang Dynasty. Most importantly, it's the final resting place of the Venerable Xuanzang, the prototype for the Tang Monk in *Journey to the West*. The Venerable Xuanzang passed away in 664 AD and was initially buried at Bailuyuan. In 669 AD, he was ordered to move his remains to Shaolingyuan. The following year, this temple was built to house his stupa, and the emperor bestowed upon it the name "Xingjiao Temple." Over 1300 years old, despite its remote location, it holds a high status. In 1961, it became one of the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in China, and in 2014, its pagoda complex was inscribed on the World Heritage List. The temple's layout is unique, divided into three courtyards: east, central, and west. The central courtyard contains the main building complex, including the mountain gate, bell tower, drum tower, and main hall. The west courtyard is the pagoda courtyard, the core of the temple complex, while the east courtyard houses the scripture repository. Most visitors flock to the west courtyard, where three pagodas are arranged in a "品" (pin) shape. The tallest in the center is the stupa containing the relics of Venerable Xuanzang, flanked by the stupas of his disciples Kuiji and Yuance. The three pagodas stand solemnly, like a three-dimensional history book. Today, Xingjiao Temple is unusually tranquil. Few tourists are seen on ordinary days; occasionally, monks may be seen circumambulating the pagoda in quiet contemplation, or laypeople may be reading under the trees. Ancient trees tower within the courtyard, providing lush green shade in summer, carpeting the ground with yellow leaves in autumn, and remaining evergreen pines and cypresses in winter. An old wintersweet quietly blooms in front of the Dharma Hall, its fragrance cool and lingering. This tranquility is not deathly stillness; it allows one's heart to find peace. Standing here, one feels completely isolated from the noisy world outside. The Xingjiao Temple Pagoda Courtyard covers approximately ten acres, with the entire temple complex spanning 5,000 square meters. Located on Shaolingyuan, an important loess plateau in the Guanzhong Plain, it has witnessed countless historical changes. The relative quietness of this important place stems from two factors: firstly, its location is not on popular tourist routes, and secondly, its profound Buddhist heritage as a "Buddhist ancestral home" may not be as appealing as its more immediate, grander aspects. However, for those with discerning tastes, this is a priceless treasure. One interesting detail is that while the skull relic of the Venerable Xuanzang was later moved to various places for worship, the pagoda at Xingjiao Temple remained his original burial site, the root of his spirit. Looking at that simple brick pagoda, imagining the great soul enshrined within, the feeling is incredibly real. Most of the temple's buildings were rebuilt during the Ming and Qing dynasties, but the pagoda is an original Tang dynasty structure. Its bricks are a deep, rich color, with weeds growing and thriving in the cracks. Standing silently for a thousand years, weathering storms, it has remained largely intact to this day—a true miracle. So next time you visit Xi'an, if you're tired of the hustle and bustle under the city walls, why not take half a day, take a bus, and stroll along Shaoling Plain? Visit this free, thousand-year-old temple, touch the Tang dynasty brick pagoda, and smell the winter plum blossoms. This tranquil escape from the noise, this direct dialogue with history, might make you remember Xi'an more vividly than any grand performance. Some places exist simply to make us slow down and reflect. Hidden south of Xi'an lies a treasure unknown to most. Some places exist precisely to allow us to slow down and reflect.

August in Jinan is unbearably hot. If you want to escape but avoid the crowds at the train station, keep this “1-hour high-speed train circle” off-the-beaten-path summer getaway guide. We’ve picked four directions, focusing on fewer crowds, cooler spots, and good food—perfect for a spontaneous weekend trip. --- 1. Zibo · Boshan (east, about 40 minutes) Keywords: birthplace of Shandong cuisine, cool caves, pottery and glass crafts Skip the popular barbecue street and head straight to the heart of Shandong cuisine. · Morning: Take the high-speed train to Zibo station, then a 40-minute taxi to Boshan. Start at Yanshen ancient town (ancient kiln site cluster), and spend a few dozen yuan making glassware by hand at a ceramic workshop. · Noon: Must-try Boshan’s four-course meal (tofu box, crispy pot, spring rolls). We recommend the longtime favorite “Julecun.” · Afternoon: Escape to Kaiyuan cave, a constant 16°C, to see stalactites formed over millions of years. Afterward, cool off by wading in a mountain stream. · Evening: Return by high-speed train, bringing a pack of Boshan meat-filled baked buns for a late-night snack. · -- 2. Weifang · Qingzhou (east, about 1 hour) Keywords: ancient city night tour, forest stream trekking, Longsheng pastries Say goodbye to daytime heat with plans designed for night and early morning. · Afternoon departure: Take the high-speed train to Qingzhou station, then visit Jingtang ancient village (filming location for “Red Sorghum”). The stone houses and ancient cypresses offer plenty of shade. · Evening: Return to Qingzhou ancient city. Skip the main street and explore Ouyuan and Zhaode ancient streets, enjoying freshly baked Longsheng honey knife cake and hawthorn jelly. · Night view: Climb the ancient city wall to see the lights or stroll along the Nanyang River, enjoying the cool evening breeze. · Next day: Wake early to hike Yunmen Mountain, pay respects at the “Longevity” character, take in panoramic views of the ancient city, then head back at your own pace. · -- 3. Zaozhuang · Tengzhou (south, about 50 minutes) Keywords: wetland micro-lake, hometown of spicy chicken, lotus pond moonlight A rare “northern water town” near Jinan, with lotus flowers in full bloom. · Morning: Take the high-speed train to Tengzhou East, then head straight to Weishan Lake Red Lotus Wetland. Ride a hand-pulled boat through thousands of acres of lotus ponds, pick lotus seed pods, and admire the “lotus leaves reaching the sky.” · Noon: Enjoy a whole fish feast on the boat. Be sure to order Tengzhou spicy chicken (local young rooster stir-fried) and vegetable pancakes. · Afternoon: Visit the Mozi Memorial Hall (cool indoors) to see ancient mechanical devices. If time allows, go rafting at Lianqing Mountain. · Evening: Bring back two pounds of fresh local lotus seeds for the trip home. · -- 4. Dezhou · Pingyuan (northwest, about 1 hour) Keywords: Han dynasty tomb exploration, Three Kingdoms culture, Qianzi steamed buns A true “hidden gem” for history lovers and those who dislike crowds. · Morning: Take the high-speed train to Dezhou East, then a 20-minute taxi to Pingyuan County. Head straight to Longmen stone carvings to see Eastern Han dynasty inscriptions. · Noon: Try Pingyuan old-style tofu (very different from Jinan’s, with thick marinade) paired with Qianzi steamed buns (long and thin with a chewy texture). · Afternoon: Explore the Three Kingdoms culture square and the Liu-Guan-Zhang Peach Garden oath site, rarely visited and perfect for quiet reflection. Or relax under the shade at Pipa Bay Park. · Evening: Buy a pack of authentic Dezhou braised chicken (fresh, not vacuum-packed recommended) and enjoy it on the high-speed train ride home. · -- Final reminders: · Ticket booking: Be sure to buy high-speed train tickets in advance for Friday and Sunday evenings. · Gear: Bring water trekking shoes (for wading) and a light jacket (for caves and air conditioning). · Decision guide: For great food, go to Boshan. For photo ops, go to Tengzhou. For a slow pace, go to Qingzhou. For peace and quiet, go to Pingyuan. If you’re interested in any place and want a detailed hourly itinerary, just let me know. I’ll help you create a more precise “hour-by-hour list.” 😊

Wenchang Pavilion 📍Address: Inside the Central Primary School, Encheng Town, Pingyuan County 🎫Admission: Free ⏰Opening Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Visit requires contacting the school) Historical records show that Wenchang Pavilion was originally built during the Ming Dynasty and has undergone multiple relocations and expansions. During the Yuan Dynasty, it was located within the Confucian Temple. In the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, it was moved to the southeast corner of the ancient city wall, and during the Wanli period, it was relocated to its current site. In the 9th year of the Shunzhi reign and the 5th year of the Jiaqing reign in the Qing Dynasty, it was expanded twice, forming a complex of buildings including the pavilion, terrace, pavilion, hall, side corridors, and Kui Tower. Today, only one pavilion remains. The mural inside the pavilion, "Ode to Huixian," vividly depicts the history of Huixian, including scenes such as Gonggong controlling the floods, King Wu of Zhou spending the night at Baiquan, and the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove in seclusion, showcasing Huixian's profound historical heritage.

Must-Visit Highlights Recommended What makes this route stand out is stepping into genuine, uncommercialized nature. Whether you want to explore the ultra-modern Water World or take a leisurely, mindless walk through parks brimming with cultural charm, this trip has it all. You can even mix things up by exploring a unique strange stone garden for a truly relaxing, off-the-beaten-path vacation. 🌟 Top Attraction Recommendations 1. Pingyuan Xinxing Hotel Staying at the Pingyuan Xinxing Hotel (Address: No. 318, Gongqingtuan North Road). It’s freshly renovated with smart, convenient amenities. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows is a clear city skyline, and the room feels incredibly airy. Being close to the train station means dining and shopping are a breeze. Start your healing morning right here~ — Tip: After checking in, grab breakfast nearby to sample some authentic local snacks. 2. Donghai Tianxia Water World The Water World is a blast from morning till night (Mon-Fri 9:30-18:00, Weekends 10:00-18:00; Address: Northwest of Donghai Hot Spring Hotel along G105). I highly recommend setting aside half a day here to splash around. The facilities are modern, the water temperature is perfectly controlled, and you can unwind fully, come rain or shine. 3. Debai Strange Stone Viewing Garden If you're craving a bit of arts and culture, don't miss the Debai Strange Stone Viewing Garden (Address: Intersection of Guangming Avenue and Xingfu Avenue; Open year-round 9:00-18:00). It features a fascinating collection of distinctively shaped rocks—ideal for taking your time, admiring the formations, and snapping some cool photos. — Practical Tip: For lunch, pop into a small local eatery just outside the garden. It’s less crowded and offers a great glimpse into the daily life of the locals. 4. Lianhua Park Lianhua Park is the ultimate spot for a scenic walk and photos. Under blue skies and white clouds, the lake waters ripple beautifully, and the lotus pond banks are lush with native plants (Location: About 70 meters southwest of the intersection of Chezhan South Road and Dufu Ying East Street). Bring a few snacks, find a bench to zone out, and let the earthy scent of the trees soothe your soul. 5. Pipawan Park Pipawan Park (Address: No. 686 Lianhuachi East Street; Open 24/7) beautifully blends modern architecture with natural scenery. You might even catch an outdoor cultural event! 🎒 Itinerary Tips & Personal Thoughts Taking this park and garden route requires absolutely no wild mountain climbing; the trails are all very gentle. Local farmers halfway up the hill sell freshly steamed pumpkins for just 5 RMB a portion. They are soft, sweet, and incredibly comforting to eat on the go. If the temperature suddenly drops, make sure you bring a jacket to stay warm. The parks are delightfully uncrowded, giving you total freedom to wander and take photos, which definitely dials up the relaxation factor of the trip. 🚗 Transportation & Dining Tips · Take a direct train to Pingyuan Station. Once you arrive, accommodations and attractions are just a stone's throw away. A quick 10-20 minute taxi ride gets you to any of the main sights. · There are plenty of homestyle diners and snack stalls around each park. I strongly recommend trying the local homestyle steamed pumpkin and Qiangguo Fish (sizzling wok-seared fish). The portions are budget-friendly, and the flavors are spot-on!

Changjiang'ao Windmill Fields are located in Pingyuan Town, Pingtan County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, situated in the northeast of Haitan Island. It is the largest offshore wind power farm in Fujian Province and one of the most iconic landscapes in Pingtan. Hundreds of white windmills line the coastline, forming a magnificent scene with the blue sea and sky, golden sandy beaches, and black reefs. It is known as the "Kingdom of Windmills" and "Pingtan's Most Beautiful Sunset Viewing Spot," making it a must-visit for photography enthusiasts and art lovers. 👍 Highlights: The core attraction is the windmill matrix, with hundreds of white windmills stretching for several kilometers, their blades turning like a fairy tale world. The Changjiang'ao beach features fine golden sand, and at low tide, the mudflats are vast, perfect for shell collecting. At sunset, the evening glow paints the sky orange and purple as the sun sets behind the windmills, creating stunning silhouettes. From April to June at night, the "Blue Tears" phenomenon occurs, where the waves emit a blue glow that intertwines with the windmill lights, creating a dreamlike scene. The black volcanic rock reefs along the coast contrast sharply with the white windmills and blue sea. The coastal road around the island passes through the windmill fields, ideal for cycling and driving. 👉 Practical Information: Free admission, open all day. Take a bus from Pingtan County to Pingyuan Town, then taxi or bike; by car, navigate to "Changjiang'ao Windmill Fields," about 25 minutes from the county seat. The best time to visit is year-round, ideally arriving one hour before sunset (check the local sunset time); the Blue Tears season from April to June is most magical at night. 👇 Travel Tips: Best to visit before dusk, stroll along the beach to watch the windmills turn, and wait for the golden hour sunset; during Blue Tears season, stay until after 9:00 PM. Wear a windproof jacket as it can be windy by the sea; sunscreen is essential. Combine with visits to Xianrenjing (15 minutes), Beigang Village (10 minutes), and Dongxiang Island (near the pier) for a half-day northern Pingtan tour; or with Houyan Island (40 minutes) and Tannan Bay (50 minutes) for a full island circuit tour. Try seafood in Pingyuan Town: Shilaiyunzhuan, Tianchangdijiu, and seafood porridge. On my long journey of travel, I am always keen to explore those lesser-known places tucked away in the folds of time. This time, I stopped at Yinjiang Ancient Town. Hearing that it conceals the astonishing wisdom of ancient hydraulic engineering, I set foot on this land full of curiosity and anticipation, trying to unveil that mysterious veil. First Impressions of the Ancient Town: The Quiet Whisper of Time When I stepped into Yinjiang Ancient Town, it felt like traveling through a tunnel of time to a corner forgotten by the years. The ancient stone-paved roads stretched windingly beneath my feet, producing crisp sounds as if telling stories of a thousand years. The Ming and Qing dynasty buildings lining the streets, with dark tiles and white walls, and upturned eaves, radiated a simple yet elegant atmosphere under the sunlight. The shops along the street were dazzling, including traditional handicraft stores, quaint teahouses, and snack stalls filled with tempting aromas. I strolled through the alleys and streets of the ancient town, feeling the tranquility and peace. Occasionally, I met a few elderly people sitting at doorsteps basking in the sun, their faces showing the vicissitudes and serenity of time. Talking with them, listening to their stories about the town’s past, those long-sealed tales unfolded vividly, filling me with even more curiosity about this ancient town. Tashan Weir: A Testament to Astonishing Wisdom Finally, I arrived at the highlight of this trip—Tashan Weir. From afar, it looked like a giant dragon lying across the Yin River, majestic and imposing. Tashan Weir is one of China’s four great ancient hydraulic projects, alongside the Zhengguo Canal, Lingqu Canal, and Dujiangyan Irrigation System, with a history of over a thousand years. Approaching Tashan Weir, I was stunned by the scene before me. This dam, built from huge stones, has withstood the test of time and weather for a millennium, still as solid as ever. Its design is very ingenious, using a “dry stone” technique without any adhesive, yet the stones fit tightly together. On one side of the dam stands the Tashan Temple, built to honor Wang Yuanwei, the hero who constructed the weir. Inside the temple, a statue of Wang Yuanwei is enshrined, and the surrounding walls are painted with murals depicting the construction process of Tashan Weir. Through the temple’s introduction and the staff’s explanations, I learned that the construction of Tashan Weir was to solve flooding and irrigation problems in the Yinxi area. It cleverly utilizes the terrain and water flow patterns, diverting excess water into the Fenghua River during floods and channeling river water into the Yinxi Plain during dry seasons, serving multiple functions such as flood control, irrigation, and navigation. This astonishing wisdom made me deeply admire the creativity and intelligence of the ancient working people. Standing on Tashan Weir, touching those ancient stones, I seemed to feel the sweat and wisdom of the craftsmen from a thousand years ago. The breeze blew gently, and the river water rippled in layers, as if telling the legendary story of Tashan Weir. Exploring the Surroundings: More Surprising Discoveries Besides Tashan Weir, there are many other places worth visiting around Yinjiang Ancient Town. I walked along the Yin River and discovered some ancient bridges and villages. These bridges vary in style, including stone arch bridges and stone slab bridges; they are not only transportation hubs but also symbols of the town’s historical culture. The architectural style in the villages is similar to the ancient town, full of rustic charm. The villagers still live traditional farming lives, growing vegetables and fruits and raising poultry. I entered a farmhouse courtyard and tasted their homegrown fruits and homemade delicacies, the rich countryside flavors leaving me with unforgettable memories. Around the ancient town, there are also natural landscapes such as mountains and streams. I strolled along mountain paths, breathing fresh air and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. The unknown wildflowers and grasses swayed in the breeze, as if showing me the vitality and energy of nature. Farewell to the Ancient Town: Reluctance and Affection As the sun set in the west, I left Yinjiang Ancient Town with a reluctant heart. This trip was very rewarding. I not only appreciated the natural scenery and cultural landscape of the ancient town but also uncovered the truth behind the astonishing wisdom of ancient hydraulic engineering. Tashan Weir is like a dazzling pearl, shining with the brilliance of the wisdom of ancient working people. Yinjiang Ancient Town, this treasure hidden deep in time, its tranquility, history, and wisdom have deeply captivated me. I believe that one day in the future, I will return to this land to relive those beautiful memories.

🎉Welcome to the ancient city as a guest A place with history and culture, the feng shui treasure land of the Oath of the Peach Garden in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the lake is very large, the square is cleaned very clean, and this is a waterscape square. The water body is an artificial lake, the south entrance is the main entrance, a Han-style archway is set up, which is a red paper-cut shape, using the pattern of Han face like stone, behind the archway is the Three Kingdoms theme sculpture-Oath of the Peach Garden, Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei's face; on both sides are the story of Liu Bei sitting in Pingyuan and the example of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms falling on the relief wall. It is said that Liu Bei was the county magistrate of Pingyuan, and Liu Guan Zhang's Oath of the Peach Garden also happened in Taoyuan Village in the northwest of Pingyuan, so Pingyuan County built this Three Kingdoms Culture Square, There is also a fire phoenix sculpture on the water surface, forming the central axis of the park with the archway, Liu Guan Zhang sculpture, etc. 📍Pingyuan County Ping'an East Street
