A Worthwhile Stay at Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel
This stay at the Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel was truly worth every penny. If you love tranquility away from the hustle and bustle but still want convenience for traveling, this five-star hotel is perfect! Leaving aside the luxurious facilities for now, I must highlight the quality of service at the front desk—especially the young lady on duty the evening of October 19th. She was professional and friendly, making the check-in process smooth and pleasant. It was the best experience among the dozen five-star hotels I stayed at during this trip.
The hotel is a bit far from the Old Town, but there’s a nearby bus stop, and calling an Uber is very easy. If you’re driving, there’s no need to worry—the hotel offers ample parking spaces and even free electric vehicle charging stations, making it an excellent choice for electric car travelers. The surroundings are peaceful, providing a perfect escape from the crowds of the city center, ideal for a relaxing vacation.
The hotel overlooks the Adriatic Sea, offering stunning sea views. In the morning, you can open the curtains to see the azure sea directly; at night, sitting on the balcony in Opcina Zupa Dubrovacka, with white tables and chairs complementing the distant city lights, creates a serene atmosphere. On clear days, the outdoor natural scenery and nearby rivers and lakes are breathtaking. Not only is the outdoor view beautiful, but the interior design is also thoughtfully done. The rooms are clean, well-organized, and equipped with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free stay.
As for the facilities, the spa center and swimming pool are very popular. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, with food quality exceeding the standard of typical five-star hotels. The biggest selling point is the quiet and comfortable environment, away from Dubrovnik’s Old Town and Cavtat, yet easily accessible by car. It’s convenient for sightseeing in the city while serving as a perfect retreat for relaxation.
A few tips before you leave: Book your room early, as it can fill up quickly during peak seasons or when there are conference groups. For self-driving travelers, make sure to check the location of the electric vehicle charging stations in advance. It’s also a good idea to book the spa and restaurant in advance to save time. Cycling is becoming increasingly popular in Mlini, and there are bike rental spots near the hotel. Exploring the coastal scenery on a bike is highly recommended.
The Dubrovnik area itself is rich in attractions, including the Old Town fortress and coastal trails. If you have time, consider visiting the small town of Cavtat for its beautiful scenery and charming local cafes. If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and self-driving-friendly stay, the Sheraton won’t disappoint.
