While you can enjoy a day trip, I recommend staying overnight if you want to relax! Himakajima is a great place for a casual date or trip in Aichi. It's only a few minutes by ferry, so it's easy to get there on a day trip from Nagoya. That was my first solo trip, and since it was such a wonderful memory, I’ve always kept it in mind, and I revisited it during last year’s Chuseok holiday-* Since Shirakawa-go and Takayama have become such famous tourist destinations now, I boldly skipped them and, while debating where to go, found the ryokan of a lifetime. For around 300,000 won... There are a whopping 6 open-air baths and one public bath each for men and women, a total of 8...😳 Because there are so many different baths, there are usage conditions, but they aren't too difficult! Conditions like "women only at this time" or "men only at that time"...🥸 With an ocean view and countless baths... why be picky!
