A 2 to 3-hour visit is just about right. 🇹🇭 Tips for Thai Travelers If you're traveling from Thailand, I wouldn't recommend staying in the village near the launch base, as accommodations and dining options are quite limited. The most convenient way to do it is: · Take a flight or high-speed train to Xichang City. · Stay overnight in the city center for 1 night. · The next morning, hop on the center's tourist bus, charter a car, or grab a DiDi. It takes about an hour to get there. It’s much more convenient and cost-effective than moving hotels multiple times. 💡 My Top Recommendations · Go early in the morning. The weather is cooler, and you'll beat the crowds. · Wear your most comfortable sneakers—there's a lot of walking involved in different spots! · Mountain weather is unpredictable. You should bring a light jacket or a raincoat just in case. · If you're lucky enough to visit during a launch mission, the vibe is incredibly lively! However, keep in mind that strict security measures and area restrictions might be in place on the actual launch day. ⭐ My Rating: 9.5/10 Even though it’s a bit far from the city center, it’s absolutely worth the trip for space enthusiasts. The hotel café is open to the public, so you can enjoy a coffee and take pictures here. This is one of the best and most distinctive hotels in Shimian. Because of its convenient location, we stayed here. We booked a phase two twin private hot spring room. The room was large and included a small garden. Children under 1.2 meters are free. July is the most beautiful season in Menghuo city, with yellow wildflowers covering the hills.
