I would give my stay 7/10. its good for young people, because you have to walk at least for 10 minutes to reach al Haram but if you have older person i dont recommend this hotel. However, the have great breakfast options and the reception who checked us in was so friendly and polite which i like that and for checkout its great that they allowed us to checkout at 2:00 pm which is good! #mecca #makka #makkah

Food and Mirrors 🪩🪩
Kuwait is a great place if you love good food and an opportunity to experience a different culture with some quirky attractions like the house of mirrors thrown in.
Foodies will love the range of food options from the traditional Freej swalleih restaurant - great food with some lovely freebies , all at amazing prices. If brunch is your thing then try the gathering bistro where their pancake cereal is a must. The coffee culture is popular in Kuwait with a range of chain and independent shops to try - coffee bean and lazy cat were my favourites.
After all that food take time out to experience House of Mirrors - home of deceased artist Khalifa al Quattan . The family provide an interesting insight into the artist and his family. You have to book but will be offered a private tour of the mirrored house with a few activities thrown in. If you want to experience something unique this is one to try.

Kuwait City is the capital of Kuwait, a Middle Eastern country.
With an area of only 80 square kilometers and a population of 450,000, it ranks among the top 100 in the global top 500 cities list. Located on the west coast of the Persian Gulf, it boasts beautiful scenery and is a colorful gem on the Arabian Peninsula. The highest temperature can reach 55℃, fresh water is scarce, and drinking water relies on imports and desalination of seawater. Vegetation is sparse.
Like other wealthy cities in the Middle East, Kuwait City was once a barren village. In 1938, oil was discovered in Kuwait, and its reserves account for 10% of the world's oil reserves, making it the fourth largest oil-producing country in the world. The development of the oil industry has transformed the city's appearance, allowing it to rapidly develop into a modern city by the 1950s. The city is filled with high-rise buildings that feature Islamic architecture.
The country is wealthy, and the welfare benefits for the citizens are particularly good. The monthly salary is tens of thousands, and the work is mainly non-labor work in government agencies such as clerical work. The locals live in three-story villas, and the water and electricity bills are subsidized by the government. Education from kindergarten to university is free, and the hospital visit only requires a procedure fee of a dozen yuan.
Kuwaiti citizens are actually "minorities" in their own country, with construction workers mainly from Egypt, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, female hotel and restaurant staff from the Philippines, and salespeople in stores from countries such as India, Syria, Lebanon, Greece, and Armenia. Today, Kuwait has become a colorful multi-ethnic international metropolis.
