Griffith travel guide and discussion

The Ramada Diplomat boasts an excellent location with convenient access to all parts of the city and includes free parking. The hotel's three levels are designed around a central area that houses the restaurant and bar, all accessible via a lift. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Despite being close to major roads, we experienced no traffic noise in our room. As Wyndham Reward members, we enjoyed a complimentary drink and canapé during 'Happy Hour.' Both breakfast and dinner menus were of exceptional quality and value. Kudos to the management and staff, especially Taylor and Kerin, for their warm and courteous hospitality. We wholeheartedly recommend The Diplomat and are eager for another opportunity to stay here.

Great place to stay. Convenient location and easy parking, plus they provide bikes for guests, making it simple to explore Canberra. The staff were kind and welcoming, and reception had free sweets, water, and fruit. We absolutely adored the pizza restaurant. The rooms were well-equipped, and the interconnecting doors were perfect for our family of five. The modern bathrooms and decor created a relaxing atmosphere. We also enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool just a 5-minute walk away, which gave a charming, old-fashioned English 'lido' vibe with swimming lanes. Built nearly a century ago, it was quite quaint.

I strongly recommend this hotel. It's conveniently located within walking distance of Canberra train station and features clean, fresh surroundings with beautiful decor. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and our king room was spacious and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant are excellent, reasonably priced, and offer freshly cooked, delicious food. The room rates are fair, and the amenities are impressive. I'm definitely planning to stay here again.

This hotel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with impressive dining options and a well-equipped gym. I greatly appreciated the cooking facilities in the room and the outdoor seating areas for relaxing with guests. It also provides convenient access to the city, lake, and the war memorial.

We absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere of this hotel—vibrant and intriguing décor that stands apart from the typical plainness of Canberra accommodations. Our room was spacious, and the inclusion of a kitchen was a bonus. The bed was cozy, the shower hot and powerful, and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff, especially at the front desk, were exceptional—friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was fantastic, within easy walking distance of the Manuka shopping and dining area. One evening, we dined at the hotel and were treated to a delightful meal. The only minor inconvenience was that I was using crutches and would have liked a dedicated spot for cars to pull up out front. The street parking was consistently full, so Uber drivers had to park further down the street, which was a hassle—though not a problem if you're fully mobile. Overall, we adored this hotel, highly recommend it, and would gladly stay here again on a future visit to Canberra.

I stayed for two nights, and the hotel was spotless with a comfortable room. The bar had a nice atmosphere, and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the hotel on my final evening. A big thanks to Catherine and the front desk team for their warm and helpful service.
