llums de sant pau, barcelona 🎄✨
#hellochristmas
when sant pau’s modernist pavilions light up, it feels like christmas switches on for the whole neighbourhood (and half of barcelona) (^▽^)ノ
els llums de sant pau is a night-time light trail inside the sant pau art nouveau site: 18 interactive installations, music, projections and a full walk through gardens and pavilions. in 2025–2026 it’s the 5th edition, under the theme “encenem la llum del teu nadal” — more colour, more lights, and you as part of the route.
practical bits (。•‿•)っ
• dates: 20 november 2025 – 11 january 2026
• closed: 24 & 31 december, 5 january
• times: late-afternoon / evening slots, usually from around 17:30–21:30, entry every 30 minutes, total visit 60–90 minutes
• place: recinte modernista de sant pau, c/ sant antoni maria claret 167, 08025 barcelona
• tickets: from about 10–14 € depending on day and type of ticket; kids under 3 free. buy online in advance, slots sell out fast for weekends.
new this season: an ice rink right inside the modernist complex (extra ~5 €), so you can skate surrounded by domes and brick pavilions — very surreal in a good way.
nice plan: come a bit early, grab something warm nearby on avinguda gaudí (between sagrada família and sant pau), walk the light trail for an hour, then end the night with photos of the illuminated buildings from outside.
