Kangaroo Island Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Kangaroo Island day trip
To be honest, I was a bit regretful when I arrived in Adelaide on the first night. It was not dark at seven or eight o'clock, and there were not many people on the street. Apart from the diligent Asian shops that were still open, everything else was basically closed. I was thinking it would be better to stay in Melbourne for a few more days!
But the next day I went to Kangaroo Island and felt that this Adelaide trip was worth it! It's really beautiful! Once again regretting that my driving skills are not good and I dare not drive around the island for a few more days. A day trip is only enough to see a few sights, and there is no chance to play many sand and water activities.
But I still took a lot of photos
On the island, I saw seals lying dead, sea lions quarreling, koalas crossing the road, and large lizards on the side of the road, but I didn't see many live kangaroos on this Kangaroo Island. In Australia, you will see kangaroo corpses on the side of the road from time to time, which is a bit scary.
Australia | Must-visit attractions and guide to exploring South Australia
Australia is surrounded by the sea on all sides and is the only country in the world that covers an entire continent. It has many unique flora and fauna and natural landscapes. Australia is also the country with the largest number of free-range sheep and the highest export of wool in the world, known as the "country riding on the back of sheep". •
In this article, let's focus on the southern part of Australia.
👍🏻Unmissable attractions👇🏻:
•
🔖Adelaide
In the Adelaide city area, must-see attractions include the South Australian Art Gallery, Adelaide Central Market, and Glenelg Beach.
•
🔖Handorf German Village
Go to the German village to search for delicious food. The traditional German cuisine here, such as German beer, German sausages, and salted pork knuckles, are all delicious and not to be missed. At the same time, the galleries, handicraft shops, and various souvenirs scattered throughout the village are also dazzling.
•
🔖Kangaroo Island
The name sounds cute! The island's attractions are mainly located in national parks and conservation parks, including: Battleship Arch, Magic Rock, Seal Bay, Kelly Hill Caves in Flinders Chase National Park, lighthouses at various capes, Prospect Hill with a panoramic view of the entire island, Little Sahara on the southern coast, Murrary Lagoon where many waterbirds inhabit, and Parndana Wildlife Park. Of course, shipwrecks and lighthouses are also well-known attractions on the island.
At the beach on the north shore of Kangaroo Island, you can swim safely, and at the same time, you can choose to dive and observe the underwater coral cliffs and rocky reefs along the American River or the Western River Bay.
•
🔖Barossa Valley wine region
If you want to taste wine, go to Barossa, you won't be wrong! As one of the oldest wine regions in Australia, Barossa can be said to be synonymous with high-quality wine. The rich red wine and fortified wine here are well-known. If you are not interested in the local wine, you can also choose to take a hot air balloon to overlook the vineyards, dine at well-known restaurants, and visit nearby villages and national parks, which are all good choices!
•

Between May and October each year, the coastline of the Phil Peninsula is one of the best viewing points for watching southern right whales and their calves migrate. G'day, Mate.
Nanao Travel | Return to the beginning and start again
On the way to Kangaroo Island.
I reach my hand out of the window.
Feeling the wind of South Australia.
Escape from between your fingers.
The moment when the sun sets in the west.
The small animals that appear by the roadside accidentally.
Let's stop the car and raise the camera.
This moment is really beautiful.
Golden light spreads over the vast earth.
Nearby and faraway wild kangaroos.
Some are running, some are searching for food with their heads down.
Some curiously stopped and looked towards our direction.
Towering trees with lush branches and leaves.
Mottled shadows of trees, sunlight peeking through the cracks.
As if returning to the primitive forest.
Return to the beginning of humanity.
Life is countless cycles.
Year after year, from new beginnings to new endings.
Everything seems to have changed, yet it feels like nothing has changed at all.
We went to Kangaroo Island just to get a glimpse of the Seals at Seal Bay Conservation Park and we weren't disappointed. There were lots of little pups playing in the shallows. The guide was very informative too. Loved it. #wintergetaway
