Zhuhai City, the earliest special economic zone

A prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province. Located in the south of Guangdong Province, on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary, facing the South China Sea, with a land area of 1725 square kilometers and a sea area within the baseline of 9348 square kilometers. The resident population is 2.4772 million, and the regional GDP is 423.32 billion yuan. The special economic zone was established in 1980, which is one of the earliest special economic zones established in China. It is the only city in mainland China that is connected to Hong Kong, China and Macau, China by land. An important port city, with Gongbei, Hengqin, Qingmao, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Highway, Zhuhai-Macao Cross-border Industrial Zone 5 land ports, Jiuzhou Port, Wanzai Port ferry passenger transport, Zhuhai Port, Doumen Port, Wanshan Port 5 water ports, a total of 10 national first-class ports, is the second largest port city in China after Shenzhen.
