The Minyue Kingdom, also known as the Chengcun Hancheng Site, is located at the southern foot of Wuyi Mountain in Fujian Province, China. The royal city is located on three continuous hills, and the city wall is built according to the ups and downs of the mountains. It is composed of Dagangtou in the south and Madogang in the north and Xia Si Gang, Xia Si Ping and Gao Hu Ping in the middle; the royal palace stands in the middle of the city, with high platforms and trenches. The palace site, city wall, city gate, royal palace, east and west water gates, watchtowers, ancient wells, altars and other sites of the Minyue Kingdom still exist today, and there are official districts, residential areas, kiln sites, iron smelting workshops, and large tombs outside the city. There are two sets of drainage systems and three water inlet and outlet remains in the city. The ceramic sewer pipes can directly discharge sewage to the outside of the city, showing the advanced technology at that time. The indoor bath in the palace is the earliest palace bath discovered in China, and its water supply and drainage pipeline facilities are very complete. The Minyue Kingdom Museum is located near the Chengcun Hancheng site. It adopts a courtyard-style building in the Han Dynasty style. The museum preserves and protects a large number of ancient cultural relics unearthed from the Hancheng site. The museum has more than 10,000 cultural relics and specimens, including 592 precious cultural relics. The museum uses charts, texts, objects, and replicas to focus on the history of the southern minority local government, the Minyue Kingdom, from the Han Dynasty to the rebellion against the Han Dynasty and finally being wiped out more than 2110 years ago.
