MOUNT PRAU : DIENG PLATEAU

Central Java has a series of special places to watch the sunrise panorama, aka sunrise. They are all very beautiful and offer different charms. However, there is one place in Central Java that has always been a destination. Even the charm of the sunrise there is called the best. Is Mount Prau. There are six official basecamps for climbing Mount Prau, namely Dieng, Patakbanteng, Kalilembu, Dwarawati, Wates, and Igirmranak basecamps. However, from a number of these basecamps, the hiking route via Patak Banteng is the most favorite. The reason is, the route of climbing Mount Prau via Patak Banteng is much shorter than other routes. In addition, the Patak Banteng route is closer to the peak of Mount Prau. To climb Mount Prau via the Patak Banteng route, climbers only need about 2 to 2.5 hours. The distance traveled is quite short, about 4 kilometers. If you pass another route, it can take more than three to four hours because the route is detour. As the name implies, the Patak Banteng basecamp is located on Jalan Dieng, Patakbanteng Village, Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency. The location is not so far from the Welcome Gate of the Dieng Plateau. When coming from the direction of Wonosobo, the basecamp is on the right side after the gate.
