Singapore City 3-Day Travelogue: A Wonderful Journey of Ferris Wheels, Sky Gardens, and Zoos

Singapore, a "garden city" that combines modern cities and natural ecology, attracts countless tourists with its unique charm. In 2025, our family came to Singapore to spend the Spring Festival and embarked on a 3-day city tour full of surprises. Day 1: A Dreamy Night of Ferris Wheels and Gardens by the Bay We stayed at a hotel near Marina Bay and went straight to the Singapore Flyer after putting down our luggage. This 165-meter-high Ferris wheel is one of Singapore's landmarks. The carriages are spacious and comfortable, and can accommodate multiple people at the same time. As the Ferris wheel slowly rises, the panoramic view of Singapore gradually unfolds before our eyes: Marina Bay Sands, Merlion Park, Sentosa Island in the distance... The children excitedly pointed out the window and kept asking questions. The Ferris wheel takes about 30 minutes to make a full circle, which is enough for us to savor the prosperity and beauty of this city. In the afternoon, we walked to Gardens by the Bay. Gardens by the Bay is the "green lung" of Singapore, consisting of Supertree Grove, Flower Dome, and Cloud Forest. We first visited the Flower Dome, where exotic flowers and plants from all over the world are planted, as if we were in a huge plant kingdom. Then there is the Cloud Forest, and as soon as you enter the door, you will be shocked by the 35-meter-high indoor waterfall, and the cool mist instantly dispels the heat of Singapore. The children ran around the garden, full of curiosity about all kinds of plants. During this time, there is also a Monet exhibition in Gardens by the Bay, which is also very good and worth a visit. In the evening, we had dinner at a restaurant in the garden and then waited for the Gardens by the Bay light show. As night fell, the Supertree Grove lit up with colorful lights, and the light show officially began with melodious music. The lights on the trees change with the rhythm of the music, sometimes flickering like a starry sky, sometimes undulating like waves, so beautiful that people hold their breath. Day 2: An Ecological Tour of the Zoo and River Safari Early the next morning, we went to the Singapore Zoo. This zoo is famous for its "open" design, where animals live in environments that simulate their natural habitats, and visitors can observe them up close. We first visited the orangutan area, where these intelligent primates swing from tree to tree, making the children laugh. Then there is the African savannah area, where giraffes, zebras, and rhinos stroll leisurely, as if they were on the African savannah. There is also a water park in the zoo, and the children had a great time. In the afternoon, we came to the River Safari adjacent to the zoo. This is the first wildlife park in Asia themed around rivers, showcasing the ecosystems of world-famous rivers such as the Amazon and Mekong. We took a boat ride through the rivers and saw rare animals such as giant otters and piranhas. The most impressive is the giant panda pavilion, where two cute giant pandas are enjoying bamboo, attracting many tourists to stop and take photos. Day 3: A Cloud Tour of Merlion Park and Marina Bay Sands SkyPark On the last day, we went to Singapore's landmark buildings, Merlion Park and Marina Bay Sands SkyPark. This sky garden on the top floor of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel is shaped like a huge ship spanning three tall buildings. We took the elevator directly to the 57th floor, and the moment we walked out of the elevator, we were greeted by an infinity pool, observation deck, and lush garden landscape... Standing on the observation deck, the skyline of Singapore is in full view, and the sea and sky in the distance complement the skyscrapers in the near distance, forming a magnificent picture. The children ran around excitedly, while we sat in the rest area of the observation deck, ordered a cup of coffee, and quietly enjoyed the beauty of the clouds. We had lunch at Marina Bay Sands and ended our Singapore city trip.
