Sanya Nanshan Temple - South Sea Guanyin

About South Sea Guanyin: ✨Approved by the State Council in 1993 and completed in 1999, the temple is backed by mountains and faces the sea, located on a coast in Yacheng, Sanya, known as the South Sea Guanyin, with the backing mountain called Nanshan. 🌟It is the world's first golden jade statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the treasure of Hainan Island. The Guanyin statue is 108 meters tall, with three aspects holding a lotus, a pearl, and a sutra box, respectively, standing on a lotus throne with 108 petals. Below the lotus throne is the Vajra Platform, which houses the Circular Hall, and the 280-meter-long Puji Bridge connects to the mainland. 📍Location: Nanshan Temple is located in Tianya District, surrounded by three scenic spots: Xidao, Tianya Haijiao, and Tianya Town. 🚗Transportation: It's a 1-hour drive from the downtown area, with a round-trip taxi fare of 160, self-driving is recommended. Prepare some cash in advance, which can be used for drawing lots, interpreting lots, and offering incense, showing more sincerity. Pay attention to sun protection, as the sun is harsh and there are long walking distances within the park, and you need to take off your glasses and hat when entering the hall to worship. 🧣Free Activities: ✨On the left side of the Circular Hall under the Sea-based Guanyin, you can get a free stamp, a 50-pound blessed stamp, one free stamp per person. ✨Opposite the Thirty-three Guanyin Hall, in the Nanshan Retreat, you can draw/interpret lots for free, asking for marriage, safety, wealth, and success. ✨Inside the Thirty-three Guanyin Hall, you can copy Buddhist scriptures for free to pray for blessings. ‼️tips: The total walking distance in the park is 6 kilometers, it is recommended to take the sightseeing bus, the ticket price is the same if you buy midway, and the park does not provide one-way tickets. To hug the Buddha's feet, you need to take the elevator to the 4th floor and then climb 3 flights of stairs to reach the top, first circle around the Buddha's feet before hugging them. No need to bring your own incense, there is free incense available at every worship spot in the park. When offering incense, donate incense money as you wish, so it counts as your contribution (can be small amounts like one or five yuan). Do not blow out the incense with your mouth, gently fan it out with your hand, and offer incense with your left hand. When entering the hall, enter from the left and exit from the right, do not step on the threshold. When taking a photo with a Buddha statue, do not make a peace sign ✌️ as it will cut off your blessings, you can put your hands together and close your eyes lightly. When making a wish, be focused, report your name to yourself first, then start wishing, do not make wishes casually, and you must fulfill your vow once the wish is granted. No photography is allowed inside the Circular Hall, always remember. Luggage storage is available at the tourist service center at the ticket office, 5 yuan per locker per day.
