Santa Monica State Beach is the final stop on Route 66, which covers 4,000km in total. After traversing wild desert, you'll finally get to the sea. Santa Monica is home to the most popular carnival pier in Los Angeles. It is fully equipped with a Ferris Wheel, a roller coaster, a swinging ship, restaurants, and coffee shops. You'll also see Route 66 signs around here.

This park, which served as a shooting location for Forrest Gump, is considered the back garden of Los Angeles. You can try all kinds of sports on the beach. A famous LA mall is also located nearby. In the middle of the beach is an amusement park, where you can take a ride on a roller coaster or ferris wheel. There is no shortage of restaurants or street performances here. Venice Beach is also pretty close by, so check it out if you can!

Sunsets under the famous Santa Monica pier. This was a quick 25 minute drive from Los Angeles airport and one of our favorite places we’ve ever had a romantic date! After strolling along the pier to get ice cream and riding the rides, we set up a picnic on the beach just in time to watch the pink sky light up.

The answer is almost always negative, except for L.A. It's difficult to explain, but the vibe you feel in L.A. is something you won't find anywhere else.
