The Famous Prison On Alcatraz Island

One of the tourists thing to do in San Fransico is to visit the United Stayes Penitentiary Alcatraz Island located on the North of San Franisco mainland. The only way to get here is via a cruise by the Alcatraz Cruises which I believe is the only cruise to this island. It costs approx $42USD per person to and fro from the island and these cruise only takes about 10 - 15 minutes each way. This is a self guided experience on the island as there are boards being put up in the island foe your own reading, not sure of any guided tours here.
