#Maobitou Park-Hengchun Township, Pingtung County

#AprilGoodDestinations2025 Maobitou is located on the western cape of the southern tip of Taiwan. It is a typical coral reef coastal erosion terrain. It is far away from Eluanbi across the Bashi Channel. It is one of the two capes at the tail end of Taiwan and the dividing point between the Taiwan Strait and the Bashi Channel. It is named after its appearance which resembles a squatting cat. The long-term erosion of sea water has created such unique landscapes as sea trenches, sea potholes, and sea reef pillars, thus creating such a natural terrain. In addition, there are many kinds of marine life such as seaweed, as well as various fish, shrimps and shellfish breeding here. Maobitou can be said to be a textbook of nature. Maobitou is not as popular as Eluanbi in terms of tourists and popularity, but many couples still choose to stay here to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Appreciating this textbook of nature from a different perspective is even more worth exploring because of its beauty. (20210821)
