Trip along the coast

After spending a few days in Rome it was time to rent a fiat 500 and drive to in the direction of Napels. The roads once you are outside Rome are good and the trip down is straightforward. Do make sure the car rental firm has included Napels in your cover as some firms do not cover this area. After a night in the the Holiday Inn Nola which is based in a building shaped like the nearby vulcano the trip along the coast to Napels started. If you want to swim and take your time you should leave early in the morning, just follow the A3 south and turn right when you get to the sea. I was amazed by the beautiful towns, villages and views over the sea. After a lunch on a beautiful terrace it was time to move along the small windy roads until I noticed a beach, black sand, and stopped to relax and swim. Then continue to the Amalfi coast and on to Napels for diner or as I did nack to the hotel for a lovely glass of wine and a great meal.
