Hongla Mountain, the first high mountain on National Highway 214 entering Tibet

Hongla Mountain is located within the territory of Mangkang County, Chamdo City, Tibet, with an altitude of about 4448 meters. It is the first high mountain that National Highway 214 crosses after entering Tibet. The Hongla Mountain Yunnan Snub-Nosed Monkey Nature Reserve is a national nature reserve, primarily aimed at protecting the endangered primate—the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey, which is a primate species as precious as the giant panda.
