#thingstodo Beautiful and big temple, we visited as soon as we arrived in Luxor. As soon as you walk in there are the “sphinx” like statues with ram heads and lion bodies. The Hypostyle hall is impressive with its 134 columns. It is also in this temple that you see the big Kepher scarab sculpture. We did follow the legend, and walked around the statue counter clockwise 3 times as it is believed to bring good luck. Amazing place to not be missed. It was hot and there was a couple of stores selling water and drinks. Unbelievable heritage experience. Worth seeing quite well-preserved temples with monumental pillars soaring the sky and detalied colorful hieroglyphs. Best to visit in e.g. Ferbruary when the temperatures are bearable. All in all the unforgettable experience. Came here for the nightly light show. Nice story and narration of the history of the area. Amazing to see how magnificent these buildings were and how significant they were to society back then. Can’t believe these were made so far back in time. The lights really highlighted to look at and focus on, super nice!
