The charm of the old town!!

DaXu Ancient Town DaXu Ancient Town, the first of the four ancient towns in Guangxi, is located on the east bank of the Lijiang River, north of the Grinding Plate Mountain, and 15 kilometers away from Guilin city. The ancient town has a history of 1800 years, built by the river and the mountain, most of which are wooden buildings, with arcade style, once a transfer station for goods on the Hunan-Guangxi ancient road. During the Republic of China, it became a market town, the whole town has 13 docks, once prosperous, known as 'Little Guilin'. Here old streets, green bricks and grey tiles, bluestone slab roads, small bridges and flowing water, come together to slow cook time, experience the quiet and leisurely ancient town. The old street has become a special snack street, and there are still many bamboo weaving workshops, straw shoe workshops, self-sour sauce shops, grass doctor clinics, old barber shops in the ancient town. Guangchang Cloth Shop (Gao Family Courtyard), Gao Ancestor Temple, Guandi Temple, Wanshou Palace (Jiangxi Guild Hall), Shengtai Lijin Bureau, Yuanshunxiang Merchant, Bank of China, Yang Jingling's old house and a batch of old shops, taste the authentic farmhouse dishes, can feel the simple folk customs, along the Lijiang River there is a free most beautiful landscape cycling and walking trail.
